I have never been a fan of the color yellow in my entire life. It reminds me too much of Easter in one way or another. Egg yolk! So it was even a surprise to me that I liked these yellow ankle boots! I have one cardigan in yellow and I don’t think anything else. Yes maybe there is something yellow somewhere in it but you have to look good for it. Except for in this dress.
I cancelled last week our vacation to the UK. You all know how I love the UK and I wrote to the B&B with tears in my eyes. This is what the owner, which we know very well because we have been there so many times, wrote back to me. Our government are advising against any unnecessary travel. We explained to them that it is very necessary for Nancy to come to England every year but they wouldn’t listen. Now that’s why I love that country!
Am I addicted to ankle boots??![yellow and pink in a outfit](https://nancysfashionstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/yellow-ankle-boots-6.jpg)
And then suddenly you see great ankle boots in bright yellow. Do you realize in the meantime that I am rather fond of ankle boots? Is it hardly noticeable? Lol, But I saw these bright yellow boots and immediately fell in love. What a wonderful cheerful color. And they look so good under this wonderful dress. I almost never wear the dress but I find it such a beautiful one. It’s not a dress you always want to wear. I have to be in the mood for this one. But the yellow ankle boots brightens it up so nicely. A few weeks ago I saw a blogger combining pink and yellow and I thought that looked pretty good together. And then I noticed this dress has pink and yellow together too! It works very well. When I bought these ankle boots, I also bought a pair of neon green ones. Another trend this coming season. Hey, they were on sale okay!
Yellow for Easter![dark floral dress](https://nancysfashionstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/yellow-ankle-boots-4.jpg)
So talking about Easter…did we? Well yellow is Easter right. Do you have any plans for Easter? We have made the tradition to brunch at a certain restaurant with friends. I love traditions, whether it is with family or with friends. The only problem with a brunch is that afterwards we are always so tired and full, and the only thing we do the rest of the day is lay on the couch doing nothing. Oh well, sometimes it isn’t that bad to to so is it? But I don’t like that actually, waist of time. However this year we will have to break the tradition as our gouvernement decided yesterday evening that the rules about Corona will stay until June!
Show some yellow
I am wearing that one yellow cardigan over the dress, but I knotted it as a bolero. I am only wearing it for a little color on the upper body. It is not the same yellow as the ankle boots, but it doesn’t have to be. I let the yellow pop out of the cuffs of the black biker jacket. and to add some more pink I am wearing pink tassel earrings and two pink rings.
Would really appreciate it if you would share my photos on Pinterest.
I would love it if you could follow me on Instagram!

What a spectacular outfit! I love it! And I love yellow, but it doesnβt look that great on me. I still will wear yellow slacks and skirts, I just keep it away from my face.
I got a giggle out of the response from B&B. A sense of humor is such a lovely trait.
Take care!

What a great outfit, Nancy. You are one brave women you is not afraid of bright colours, these yellow boots are something special. Love they way you added more yellow at the top by tying up your cardigan, very clever. You are lucky if you can go out and have brunch, we in Sydney, are in stage 2 lockdown and the only food you eat out is takeaway.

Just wear what you feel good in babe!
Nancy, this might be one of my favorite outfits of yours! I love the bright yellow booties with this adorable dress and the way you turned your cardigan into a bolero style. Brilliant! I am so sorry that you canβt go on your much needed trip. What a fabulous response from the B&B though. That is definitely one way to make people feel special and keep them coming back, isnβt it? And your quarantine rules are in place until June now? Yikes. I guess we are probably headed in that direction as well here. Oh well. Stay safe and healthy. That is the most important thing right now.

Thanks Shelbee. Gerben decided yesterday that he would stop working for a month. It is way to dangerous for me. I think we have to be in isolation at least until the end of April. There is no sign yet over here that things are going to get better!
I love the pops of yellow in this outfit, it’s such a fun and cheerful colour to wear and those are incredible boots! π
The government keep making changes here and say the new rules will apply for 6 months so I’m a little worried about that as we can’t see our parents or my sister, but I hope that things get better sooner than expected and the rules keep us all safe so we can get back to normal life quickly! π
Thank you so much for joining the #weekdayWearLinkUp π I just posted this week’s linkup, I’d love you to join again! π
Hope that you had a great weekend! π We had a quiet one at home of course!

6 Months is a very long time! It’s a terrible time isn’t it!
Darling yellow booties, my adorable friend. But check out the clever way you knotted that cardi!! Oh, please come dress me! Just one day. I would love to be able to think out of the box like you do.

Haha, just try Leslie, just try. That is the only way. Take out of your closet what you like and put it on. You will see if you like it or not!
Nancy, I absolutely ADORE how you put this outfit together. The colours are pure perfection, as is the way you tied the cardigan as a bolero.
I really hope you’re keeping safe and well at the moment.
Big hugs
