The first few days after the holidays are always a bit tough. (although we now finally have some sunny day!) Getting into the rhythm of hurrying up in the morning instead of having a nice long breakfast, exercising, eating healthy, not drinking. LOL. Not drinking isn’t that bad, not that you think I’m drinking vino every day. Because I don’t!
Enjoying sunny days
- Me and Denise having lunch while cycling.
- I had croquettes, I love that with bread!
Monday I went to the nail stylist, always a party. On the bicycle, half hour ride, because it was a very sunny day. Can you see on the photo below that she did a ombre nail. Red and orange! She never did it before and I think it looks perfect, just how I wanted it! A big shoutout for my fabulous and sweet nail stylist Karin! Please give her a follow!
On Wednesday Denise and I had a lovely bicycle ride, it was quite warm. I like it, the warmer the better. Also we had a delicious lunch of course, that’s part of it. The first few days of the week we could also eat outside in the evening and sit outside until late. I find that wonderfully relaxed.
What I did in the weekend
- Ombre nails in red and orange.
- Wore this leopard print skirt on Monday.
Gerben had to work till midnight at Friday, so no nice relaxed Friday evening with coffee and Tia Maria for me. Saturday I worked out and cleaned my wheelchair, Gerben and mine bicycle and Gerben ‘s bike. Can you tell I had a vacation….And in the afternoon we went to friends for cake, it was Karel’s birthday. Always good to chat ,, live,, with friends!
Sunday we cycled for almost three hours, it was rather chilly. But sunny days are coming again. Gerben was wearing shorts and a tee, I was wearing three layers and a leather jacket with a scarf. I am always cold. We ate aspargus, probably the last time as the season is almost over. And we watched Formule1, what a race! In the evening we watched Broadchurch season3…….what the … I didn’t know if I was watching the first season again or a new one, still don’t get it. When we went to bed on Saturday, we watched Mystify, a documentary about Michael Hutchence. Beautiful done!
- This might not look good, but oh boy it does taste good! Buritos!
- Asargus wit all the trimmings. Last time, I promise you….
- My outfit while cycling, black!
Have a great and sunny week all!
I would love it if you would share your outfits with #nancysfashionstyle and tag @nancysstyle! Thanks!
How wonderful that your weather is warming up, Nancy, and that you got to spend time with your friend! Ha ha, it does sometimes seem like you are doing nothing but eating and drinking (hee hee, I know you’re not!).
I love your pleated leopard skirt – so cool. I am making burritos tonight for dinner!

Haha, but I do love to eat and drink! Burritos are delicious aren’t they!
I love your ombre nails and that leopard skirt is flattering on you! The cycle ride with your friend sounds fun.

Thanks Kathrine.
It has gotten too hot here to eat outside except for breakfast. We have been looking at bike rack for my van so we can transport 6 bikes: it is going to be expensive but we have been missing riding our bikes!

Oh it’s the best thing we bought last year! We enjoyed it so much to cycle somewhere totally different.
You are definitely rocking the pleated skirts, I see, Nancy! They’re lovely and oh so comfy to wear, aren’t they?
I always find it hard coming down from the easy rhythm of a holiday, but having sunny weather is really helpful.
I love your ombre nails, and the look of all that lovely food. Croquettes on bread is a Dutch thing, isn’t it? It sounds delicious so I’ll give it a try some time.
I haven’t seen Broadchurch Season 3 yet … didn’t even know there was a Season 3 to be honest. We’re still rewatching Vera from the beginning! xxx

Yes we do too! I love Joe so much better then Adrian. Is it a Dutch thing? You don’t have croquettes in Belgium?
I love how you bike so much Nancy. Interesting that you wear sandals instead of sneakers!!
And your nails turned out fabulous!!

Sounds like a good week, Nancy! I’m glad you are getting some sunny days. Your nails look awesome! I’m back to getting mine done every three weeks, and have got my mom to join me. It’s fun to see her getting pampered.
