Peach Fuzz is Pantone’s colour of the year. So what better way to start spring with such a beautiful colour. Pantone describes the colour as radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion. Offers a tactile embrace and effortlessly bridges the youthfull with the timeless. Now that’s what we need in these harsh times.
But…..I think it is a cold colour that doesn’t compliment anyone’s complexion. And I think a lot of women agree with me as we only have our loyal friend Jodie that keeps us company this month! Hope to see a lot more ladies next month! And thank you very much Jodie!
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series in February 2018, but we had been working together a year previous. So you can say we really like to host these series! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join us. The more the merrier!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?
It is a collage of outfits from all different women! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We’ll keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc.
But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Peach Fuzz!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
I found this maxi dress in peachy colors last year but only had the opportunity to wear it once before the cold weather arrived. I love it paired with this brightly colored butterfly wrap in shades of orange (peach-ish) and yellow. I am pretty certain both are Good Buys as I will be wearing them on repeat this spring and summer.
Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style
Here’s a photo of Lesley with this beautiful dress that is peach on top. It’s a dress she told me she would have never worn years ago, but now she feels like a princess in it. I call that a good buy!!
And here is my Peach Fuzz
As you all can guess, I don’t like Peach Fuzz! Lol. But the things we do for the blog…..I bought this dress on Vinted and it turned out a lot more pink then peach actually. On the photo it really looked like peach. And I don’t like this shade of pink. I could also not find anything else to wear with it then a denim jacket, which I wear on Shelbee’s blog. So I tried it with gold. It’s not working for me at all, sorry. This was a real Good-Bye!
May’s theme will be: Peeptoes!
Send your photo with a few sentences if it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye and we will put you in the spotlights! Send it please before the 10th of each month to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to batennancy@gmail.com
By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for next month!
And now hop over to Shelbee’s blog to see what the other fashion bloggers are wearing!
I agree that peach looks fabulous on Lesley! But not so much on me. LOL I love your dress but you can tell that you don’t like it much. Haha. So Peach Fuzz was a bust…Onto Peep-Toes!

Haha, yes I don’t feel very happy in it!
I like how you layered over the dress to tone down the peach you don’t like. Lol! The gold is so pretty with it!

I only like the gold, lol. Thanks Kathrine.
I’m totally with you on Peach Fuzz being a colour that doesn’t compliment anyone’s complexion!
Still, I think that both you and Shelbee have created wonderful outfits! xxx

Oh thank you very much Ann!
I agree with you about this color not complementing anyone’s complexion. On a more positive note, I like your dress, and I love your gold sweater! I understand why you chose not to keep it, though. I have had dresses in the past where only one layering piece that I can wear over it. Anyway! Thank you for sharing, and I hope that you are enjoying your day today!

Thank you very much Caroline.
I love peach and actually do wear it but only in mid to late summer since all my peach clothes tend to be very thin and sleeveless, etc. Plus I think it looks better on me when I have a bit of a tan. These are some really pretty flowy looks though.

Thank you Joanne!
I love how you tried to layer over the dress Nancy. That’s using your noggin. It may not be your favorite, but at least you tried.

That is always a good thing! Thanks Shauna!
I don’t have anything in my closet this color because I just can’t wear it!

No woman can, lol! Thanks Marsha!
Peach can be a pretty color when in the right tones for the right coloring: sometimes it looks great on me and sometimes it washes me out.

Yes, it depends totally on the tan of your skin doesn’t it?
Not a shade I tend to wear, having said that I’ve got a top that’s very similar. Thanks for sharing on the linkup. Lovely to see everyone x Jacqui

Thanks Jacqui!
Peach is a tricky colour to wear and it hasn’t been “in” for a few decades (the last time was in the late 90s- so much peach and aqua interior design, lol). It’s funny to see it come around again. It really doesn’t suit everyone, unfortunately – it’s easier to go with shades of orange to attain that trendy look. You tried, Nancy!

I tried indeed! Don’t like the colour at all, lol.
