How To Wear Jeans In (almost) Any Occasion

when to wear jeans

You all know I am not a jeans girl, buy hey, this one by Claire is for you my friends, how to wear jeans!

Whether you like them or not, jeans rule the day-to-day fashion in almost every corner of the world. This fact comes as no surprise since they’re easy to maintain, usually very durable and can be worn with almost any other item of clothing. They’re suitable for school, work and sometimes they can also be worn during more festive events. So, if you’re a jeans fan, here are some style tips how to wear jeans on almost any occasion and still look fashionable:

Occasion #1: How to wear jeans when going to workoccasions to wear jeans

If you choose a stretchy model, jeans can be super comfortable even if you happen to stand all day at work. If you’re working in a more formal setting, you can match a pair of skinny jeans with an elegant blazer, and a pair of heels or flats, depending on your preferences. Since going to work usually requires a more elegant bag, make sure to find one where you can fit all of your work and personal stuff. When it comes to choosing a color, make sure they’re not too blue, nor ripped, unless you work in a tattoo parlor or a music shop, in that case, you can pick any type of jeans that you like. So, when you’re getting ready for work, make sure to match your jeans for more formal pieces of clothes so you’ll end up looking professional and classy, no matter your workplace.

In this case, you have all the freedom to wear anything you want. Seriously, running errands usually means you have a lot to do, so you’re hardly going to be pressed about your wardrobe choices. If you’re expected to run from one place to another, then it’s best to choose something comfortable, so low-rise slouchy boyfriend jeans are a great choice since they’re breathable and you can also wear them with sneakers and a basic tee, while you’re taking care of your day-to-day business. These types of activities require you to go from place to place, so it’s important to wear something that can look stylish and be comfy at the same time.

When it comes to special events, jeans aren’t usually the most popular choice, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wear them especially if you consider yourself a bit of a fashionista. It’s important to find the right accessories, such as a statement necklace or big earrings, and in order to look more elegant, wearing a pair of high heels is recommended. Special events usually require you to wear demure colors, such as black or any type of dark blue. Additionally, you can wear a clutch and a simple white shirt to complete the evening look.

Traveling usually requires you to wear something cozy, so in this case, you have all the freedom to choose, just be sure to feel comfortable, especially if you’re spending long hours on a flight. You can match your jeans with a sweater, hoodie or a sweatshirt, depending on the weather conditions and your preferences. What’s even better, traveling doesn’t require you to wear elegant purses, so you can use your fave backpack or a tote bag. Regarding the shoes — there’s no much room for discussion since you can wear pretty much anything: from classic sneakers to ballerina flats and flip-flops. The choice is all yours!

Occasion #5: Your favorite concerta post by a guest writer about jeans

There’s no reason not to wear jeans at your favorite concert, especially if you’re going to hear the artist you’ve been following for a long time. So, the good news is that you can actually wear anything you want, especially jeans, as they’re easy to match with anything, but in the concert setting, they’re best worn with a band’s tee of your choice. You can pair everything with a pair of black boots, chucks or any type of footwear that you find comfortable. Just make sure that your jeans are stretchy and breathable so you’ll be able to stand for long hours and dance to your favorite tunes without feeling too hot!

In conclusion, jeans are the perfect item of clothing since they’re so easy to match that they can be worn practically everywhere. The only thing you need to learn is how to combine the appropriate accessories, so they’ll look good at any event.

Jeans are my absolute favorite piece of clothing! I love throwing on a pair of ankle boots and blazer for fall!

Really? Are you less comfortable in a dress for example?

  3. 6th August 2019 / 18:22

It took me most of my life to really be comfortable in jeans. Back in the day when it was pretty much Levis or Lees, my curvy body just did not suit their straight shape. It wasn’t until STRETCH DENIM came into existence that I was finally able to enjoy wearing jeans. And now they’re the mainstay of my wardrobe!

I do love dresses also, but dresses add other factors in – footwear becomes more important because it’s more visible; in cold weather you need leg coverings of some sort and they are such a hassle for me to get on; and my ALWAYS swollen puffy feet and ankles are totally on display in a dress whereas they’re hidden under jeans (or pants, but I have the same fit issues with non-jean pants that I used to with jeans!).

I hardly wear jeans. I have no bum so I think they don’t look good on me.

It’s tough finding the right fit and style as you get older – the ones that suit you may look a bit old fashioned. If I find a pair I like, I try to buy them in a couple of different colours. Thanks for linking up at #WowOnWednesday!

I never wore trousers until about 6 years ago but I found I liked them after some friends persuaded me to buy a pair and gradually wore them more and more. I didn’t like the image of jeans that much and resisted buying any until my teenage daughter bought me a pair for Christmas. I therefore started to wear jeans at the grand old age of 39 – and wear them occasionally for walks and gardening

I almost never wear jeans – I have two pairs of true denim, and I can’t even remember when I wore them last. I just always seem to find that I want to wear “real” clothes instead.

I do like jeans for travel, though, and I definitely like wearing them to concerts! We’ll be traveling next month, and I plan on taking one of my pairs of jeans with me. I am happy that you advocate wearing a rock tee! That’s a fashion “rule” I always follow.

Hope the rest of your week goes well, Nancy!
