I can’t explain to you how happy I am to finally feel good again! Gosh what a relief! I really hate when I’m so out of breath and tired! I don’t know what I had, probably a lung attack that I wasn’t listening to, but it’s over and I’m feeling fine again!

On Monday I did a lot! The usual, the laundry, blogging and working out and in the evening I had a Teams meeting. And I wasn’t tired at the end of the day! Yeah, that makes me feel so good! Tuesday was King’s Day in the Netherlands, it was our King’s birthday, most people have a day off and there is normally plenty to do throughout the country, like festivals and fairs. Now, and last year too, there was of course nothing to do. Only the Royal family on the telly visiting a town in the Netherlands.
Gerben and I went to my father and his wife by bicycle. They had their first vaccination and we had not seen them in months. So very nice to see them and have a chat. When we got home Gerben lit the BBQ and I had squid and Gerben had veal. We were able to eat outside just before the sun disappeared and it just got cold again.

What is that with me and companies lately! Now I have two packages that do not arrive. One that I bought, pre loved and one that I sent back to h&m. By the way, h&m has a excellent service regarding lost packages! Does that happen to me alone or what is that! Two more weeks and then we have a holiday, can’t wait! I am so ready for it! Update, the battery for my wheelchair will arrive this week, as they tell me….
Friday was not a cleaning day for me for a change. That made me feel good! As if I had a day off! I had an appointment with the nail stylist in the morning. If you are wondering whether my house will not be cleaned, I have divided it over the other days! What did you think! Lol. After the nail stylist I went to the pet store to get some toys and treats. Quite exciting because I had not been to a store for 4,5 months. Then I went to the bakery and bought delicious sandwiches for lunch and pastries for coffee in the evening! (how thrilling is my life….)
Saturday morning working out, with Saturday Kitchen Live on the telly, and ironed, yuck. Sunday we went cycling for an hour and a half, but gosh what a cold wind! But also nice! Let the fresh breeze blow through your head. Gerben cooked dinner, that’s such a treat! I think Peaky Blinders is over I guess, Broadchurch is interesting again! I find it so relaxing to watch a good series on television! Nice end to a great weekend!

It was, but very cold!
I do a bit of cleaning each day; just a couple of rooms each day so that by Friday hopefully the whole house has been cleaned. It’s a bit frustrating in that by the time I finish I feel like the rooms I started with need another cleaning BUT I can’t imagine trying to clean the whole house in one day. I used to do that when my boys were little and it was a big job as we have a rather large house. I am rather dismayed to realize that I had no idea the Netherlands had a King!

Haha, yes we do and a Queen! We don’t have a huge house, it has three bedrooms. But I only clean and don’t hoover, that does Gerben every day. And we are just with the two of us!

Phew, I am relieved to read that you are feeling so much better. It must have been quite worrying!
Yay for BBQ weather too – although it is still quite chilly, and today has been horrendous.
I haven’t been much in a cleaning mood lately, but it has to be done. When I was working full-time, Jos did most of it, but as he absolutely hates cleaning, he was glad to hand over a big chunk to me now that I’m at home more.
Your bike ride looks lovely, with all the yellow flowers along the cycle path!
What series of Broadchurch are you watching? I kind of lost sight of it after series 1 and 2. xxx

Nancy, I am so glad that you have recovered fully from feeling so unwell. I love both your Friday and Saturday outfits. Your camel trench coat is beautiful! And such a great color on you, too. Veal and squid made at home sounds amazing! I don’t think I have ever tried to prepare either of those things at home. I have only ever had them in restaurants. I may have to look into this!
