Cropped Jeans, a Summer Style Essential

cropped jeans outfit

Yep, I bought another pair of jeans, cropped ones. It’s unbelievable, again a jeans. I like cropped trousers and I also prefer to wear my jeans cropped. If I wear it at all, of course, jeans that is. And don’t think, Nancy is going to wear jeans more often… No, my other two jeans are going into the winter closet, I am tired of them. Not that I wore them so often, haha. But in winter I almost only wear the jeans when we go cycling or walking(wheelchair). So I associate them with something sporty and I don’t like a sporty look at all.

But overall I think that wearing jeans is pretty boring. It needs a lot to bring it to a good outfit I think. Although I do appreciate a cropped jeans with white blouse and a lot of golden jewellery and high heels. Only not on me. And of course this is only my unimportant opinion.

Jeans never fit me well at first. So stiff and since I don’t have buttocks, it doesn’t look like much at all to begin with. If the jeans become a bit more flexible, I will also get more shape in them. So this is the first time I am wearing these cropped jeans, no shape…., no buttocks.

And I already regret a little bit that I bought these jeans. But maybe it will grow on me. I think it will when I wear black heeled ankle boots and a very feminine black top on it. Because I always feel that cropped jeans needs a bit of a heel.

Ready for spring in cropped jeans

espadrilles with jeans and a blazer

I chose this outfit for March’s The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, on Shelbee’s blog. The theme was sunshine. I really think this is such a holiday outfit, Rye, by the sea! The Breton stripe of the tee and the earrings, the sailboat print on the blazer, the espadrilles. The blazer’s buttons even have little anchors on them. Everything radiates nautical about this outfit.

The blazer is quite old and was second hand from King Louie. I took the espadrilles out of the giveaway bag again. The red flower pin is a cheerful colour accent. I have these in different colours from when I was still working. They give an outfit that little bit extra. I’m slowly learning to add one more thing when I am ready to leave the house! And I don’t mean my credit card…..or actually Gerben’s, lol.

Love how the red flower provides a stylish pop of colour! I hate jeans when they’re new – so stiff! This style suits you.

I echo your thoughts! I too have bought jeans that I wish I hadn’t, so easy to think they’ll work when I get them home and then leave it too late to return. I’m in the process of repeated washing to soften them up! But a striped tee and a splash ot color works wonders!

Even though you’re not a great fan of jeans, this is a great look on you! The cropped length and lighter wash is perfect for spring and summer, so you might find yourself wearing them more than you think. I love the whole nautical theme of your outfit that jacket with the little sailboat print is the best. Also, thanks so much for featuring me as a favorite this week. I really liked these crop jeans, Nancy! But, I think you would look fantastic with black heels with them! I love the way that looks though I can’t wear heels anymore. I remember those flower pins and had a bunch of them. I donated them years ago and really wish I still had them. Thanks for the link up!

I love this outfit! The mix of stripes and the charming sail boat print of the jacket with the fabulous red corsage looks so stylish. I’m not a fan of jeans on me, although I do like them on others…and I have lots from over the years. Maybe I should try wearing them again. I hope you have a wonderful time in Rye!
