As you may know by now, I love everything that shines. Whether it is colorful jewelry or beads or whatever, I am like a magpie. Gerben sometimes calls me Caterpillar never enough. Yes, very funny, not. That definitely does not mean that I decorate myself full with it. No, on the contrary. And if a collaboration comes my way with jewelry in the lead, I will of course not say no to that.
Colorful jewelry
I’ve only started wearing some more colorful jewelry for a year or so. I always wore gold and gold plated accessories. And also very minimal. For example, a statement ring, but no bracelet. Or if I wear statement earrings, I don’t wear a necklace. Except the one I always wear. ( it was a gift from Gerben 29 years ago!) Otherwise I think it’s too much, too busy. But because I went back to my own style, so almost no bright colors, I think that occasionally a colorful accessory is allowed. My preference is still for gold and simple.
XOO Jewelry
So I was allowed to choose some items from XOO and I was quite successful! First, the earrings. Nice and colorful right! I really like these ones with a monochrome look! Because I often wear dark colors now, I think it is nicer to wear something with a bit of color near my face. Whether that is a scarf or a necklace, or statement earrings, for example. It often makes your face stand out a bit better, if you use the right colors of course.
I chose this ring because, when I like to wear a ring, I like to wear statement rings. But I mean really big ones. They are not always very useful when you start typing for example. Then I tap on my high-gloss white table with that ring all the time. I don’t want that. But also with cooking or something, they are just not convenient to wear. So I wanted a sweet little ring in the color green to wear with a smooth golden ring. Look how beautiful this lovely green ring is. Again, I looked at the best color for me.

I absolutely love the bracelet because it goes perfectly with my favorite pair of earrings, which have the same thickness and color! I love to wear those earrings because they are so light. Which is something you should pay attention to when you get older. Although you do have tools to help your earrings that are too heavy. But tried that, doesn’t work with real heavy ones.

I’m definitely a magpie too, and Gerben’s name for you would apply to me too. I always make a beeline for the jewellery display in charity shops and usually come home with more cheap ‘n cheerful jewellery. You can, in fact, never have enough jewellery! xxx
