I love brown clothing, it is such a beautiful warm, rich color. Now next to black, no slightly below, green is my favorite color. But it used to be brown. I can still remember when I was about 15 years old and looking for brown trousers, corduroy. Of course I knew exactly what those trousers should look like. And of course it was nowhere to be found.
Back to brown clothing.
But in the end I found in a very small boutique at the bottom of a pile on the floor my brown corduroy trousers! No one wore brown, but I did. I also had a gorgeous brown trouser suit from Scotch & Soda when I was 15. Brown is not a popular color. Coincidentally, we now see many different shades of brown in this season. Yes I know that we always see brown in fall collections. But often not those gorgeous warm shades of brown clothing. And also often in pretty frumpy items.
So now I’m squinting at all the pretty brown. Like this skirt. I wear it actually pretty often with this cardigan. I am really happy with that cardigan. And I immediately fell in love with this skirt when I saw it. Good length too. It was already late in the afternoon when we took these photos. It was to dark actually to take some (read 70) photos. And it was bloody cold. So I was in the mood for a warm thick sweater.
But I actually had this top in mind with the short brown cardigan. And when I tried it on it looked pretty boring. I need to make it work, because when I bought the skirt I had that outfit in mind! Perhaps I need to add a lot of gold, or wear my white boots underneath. I think that is what it is, that look needs heels!
Brown and blue clothing worn together.
This sweater is older and actually not even my color but somehow I think it looks good and it always gives my skin a bit of a glow. I can’t explain that because it is a cool color. Anyway, I also am wearing a brown necklace and brown and blue earrings. And the lovely leopard and blue bag. Oh how very matchy matchy. I think I will show you more beautiful brown clothing this season. There are at least many more in my shopping cart……(s)
