It’s Summer so it’s Shorts time! And how to wear them? These fabulous bloggers show it to you in The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Shorts!
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?
It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with this month’s theme: Shorts!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
My white denim shorts from Torrid were a Good Buy. I love the fit and the length of these shorts and had been wanting white denim ones for a while. I finally found these last year and absolutely loved them…except now I have lost weight and they might be a bit too big!
This is the lovely Suzanne of Ask Suzanne Bell
Shorts, for the most part, are a Good Bye item for me. During the summer months, I gravitate towards one-piece easy dressing, wearing jumpsuits and dresses 90% of the time. I’m not sure what my hesitation is about shorts, as I wear jeans 75% of the time during cold weather months. It could be the fact that I have long legs and a short torso – and shorts make me feel out of proportion.
This is the beautiful Shugunna of Nzurin Simplicity
These are one of my favorites. Their stretchy and oh so comfortable. I reach for them on that first really hot summer day.

Perfect theme for summer. These are my good buy shorts. I bought them about a month ago. They’re super comfortable and have a higher waist which I just like better and I’m wearing them a lot this summer

I love these blue shorts that I bought at Target. I have to laugh that I’ve been wearing shorts more now that I’m older, than I did 10 years ago. And I have a feeling my collection will grow even more when I move to AZ…LOL!!

Look at all you gorgeous ladies wearing shorts. If I would even look half as good in them, I’d wear them, but sadly I don’t. I have to laugh now, as I wore them a lot in my 30s. I even wore a short suit (with matching jacket) to my sister’s wedding. And no, I’m not going to share it 😉 xxx

I have a love and hate relationship with shorts, but it was more love this summer! Lol! But, I think I’m ready for some cooler weather and pants! Loved seeing all the adorable shorts on these ladies!

I wear my denim shorts a lot during the summer, although I do tend to gravitate towards lightweight dresses and skirts…

What a fun selection from everyone! I have yet to wear my one pair of shorts, but as mentioned before, they are bright orange, high-waisted, pleated (!!) and LEATHER. It’s got to be the right environment/occasion for them!
