I’ve always loved suede. When I was 15, those short suede jackets with fringes were all the rage. Back then, my grandparents gave me money, and I wanted to buy either a leather biker jacket or one of those suede jackets. I ended up with a burgundy leather biker jacket with white piping. I felt very cool, you can understand that right… Later, I indulged my love for suede, as you probably would have expected. I had jackets, trousers, skirts. And all made of genuine suede.
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series in February 2018, but we had been working together a year previous. So you can say we really like to host these series! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join us. The more the merrier!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?
It is a collage of outfits from all different women! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We’ll keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc.
But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Suede!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge

Joanne of Slices of Life

I bought these faux suede boots years ago and have really gotten my money’s worth out of them. They are my go to boots all fall and winter making them such a good buy! In fact I’ve often done internet searches hoping to find them again and buy another pair. Today I paired them with my jeans, a sweater and a scarf for a more casual look. But they pair well with dresses and skirts too.
Mireille of Chez Mireille

A thrifted 1 dollar find that is so fun to style: the suede “sweater” vest.
Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style

Here’s my contribution for a Good Buy with suede…it’s my mom and I love how she rocks these over the knee suede boots. A perfect example of how great style works for women of any age (my mom is 88)

This outfit includes a taupe color faux suede jacket that has an open front. I have tied the bottom ends together at the waist, and worn it over a soft sage green faux leather dress. Two fauxs in one outfit! I have worn this topper many times, it is a versatile neutral and a great completer piece, so I would consider it a good buy.
And here is my suede

March’s theme will be: Cropped Sweaters
