I think I have never wore this colour combination of soft pink and rich brown before. This is one of those outfits that happened by accident and is so surprisingly nice. I haven’t worn this skirt in a few seasons, and knowing me, I’m surprised it’s still hanging in the closet. And since I’ve lost 3 kilos recently, even a little around my belly, I could easily wear this one again without it showing so much. Incidentally, it’s not that I want to lose weight, but I need to have a negative cholesterol level below 2, and that’s simply not possible without losing weight. It’s one or the other. (Update: I have seen a internist. Because my pulmonologist didn’t agree with the weight loss. And he looked at what the best pill would be for me. And told me to just eat what I want! I was so happy!)
Soft pink and rich brown in one outfit
So this will probably be the last time I can wear this skirt without it showing on my stomach like that. But actually, I’ve fallen in love with this skirt all over again, so I think I’ll wear it with warm leggings this season. Oh yeah, I need to order some leggings. It’s already way too cold for bare legs. And I really hate wearing trousers all the time.
Soft pink isn’t a colour that suits me well, except when I have sun-kissed skin. I think it’s a beautiful colour that goes with just about everything. But it is a typical spring one, for me anyway. This knit top is lovely warm. Since I lost a few kilos, it feels like I am cold all the time. And I already am a person who thinks 21 degrees celcius is still cold, that is 69,8 Fahrenheit for you Michelle, lol.
Simple outfits work for me
So I find it surprising that the soft pink top goes so well with the rich brown silky skirt. Often, the outfits you throw together are the best, right? I find that when we go out, I spend all day thinking about what I’m going to wear, what makeup, what accessories. Well, maybe half the day. But not out of stress or anything, but just because I enjoy doing it. And then you put it on and think, mmm, maybe I should choose something else, lol. What a ridiculous thing, huh?
But I think it’s really important that I feel great in an outfit. ( who doesn’t !) And usually, those are the simplest looks, it’s all about the feeling. I’m wearing different gold necklaces and bracelets with it. And those gorgeous pink sneakers! Good buy this season.

It is indeed. Although I wore it last winter already a lot, so I don’t fancy it that much anymore.
It looks lovely on you, and had I mentioned already how much I like the pink sneakers? ๐
That is a fabulous color combination!
You look wonderful but I love that your doctor said eat what you want!!
The color combo is such a pretty one and I can see why you like that skirt so much!
xo,

I love this color combo as well! I remember when pink and brown was big in the early 2000’s. Everything comes back! The skirt is fabulous!

That shade of pink is beautiful! I love how it looks with chocolate brown!
Hi Nancy, and don’t you look good in that combination of colours. I love brown and the pink goes very well with it. Eat what you want – yay!
Have a good weekend X
You look great in pink and brown. Your outfit looks so comfortable and well thought out, even though you just put it together on a whim. And brown is such a trending color now. I get that a lot, from doctors. One specialist says one thing, and another says the complete opposite. Pick the cure you like the best, lol!
I love this outfit and this color combination! I am also happy that your doctor visit went well, and I love what he told you. Have a wonderful weekend!
That pink and brown is beautiful together. I think it’s cold at 70 degrees too because we keep our house at 76, so anything below that seems cold.
XOXO

What a gorgeous colour combo, Nancy!
I’m glad to read that your pulmonologist told you to eat what you want, even if it means you can no longer wear the skirt without it showing your stomach ๐
I’m like you, I’m often spending hours choosing an outfit and accessories. But sometimes it just seems to come together naturally! xxx
What a great color combo on you!

It’s a great color combination and I am actually planning to wear a dress and a blazer in those exact shades tomorrow and take a couple pictures for a future post about brown. I really like how your skirt looks so comfortable and I am surprised it’s already time for leggings.

Hi, Nancy – That is definitely a wonderful skirt; I would love to find one like that! It’s amazing, isn’t it, when two pieces from the wardrobe just suddenly fall together as the perfect matchup? I’m glad your health is good for your medical plans. Wishing you the best – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com
I really like pink and brown together, especially the pink you’re wearing. I have to be careful with pink, too. I’m so glad you saw a different doctor who helped with your cholesterol. Doctors in the States are very eager to use pills first and other things second! Thanks for the link up!
