My mood is really improving, I am feeling positive again. Or is it because all kinds of fun things are happening in my life. No, I really think the lack of social contacts over the past year and a half has broken me down. And now that everything seems to be going back to normal I feel better and better. I’m so happy about that. I already have enough on my plate to also have to deal with negative feelings. So, how was my week.
Feeling positive makes everything so much easier!
- New boots, I already wore these.
- Love this color so much!
- Found this vintage Clio top a few weeks ago, gold lurex.
On Monday, of course, first a work out, blogging and then of to the nail stylist. On the bicycle which was very windy and pretty cold. It’s a half hour cycling. In the evening I had a Teams meeting of the long fund to discuss whether we can already organize meetings from the long point. Not this year sadly. And perhaps psychical meetings are going to be a thing of the past. But I am staying positive and hope we can scedule a meeting somewhere in March.
Tuesday another work out and then blogging. In the afternoon sitting in the garden reading. Unbelievable such nice weather we still have. Wednesday I had to do the 6 minute walk test because next week I have to go to the pulmonologist. And this is one of the tests we then discuss. To my great surprise, and delight, I walked 5 meters further than last year. So more positive feelings went in my brain!
When simple things make get you in a positive mood!
- I am not looking very happy here, it’s for our Halloween theme next month!
- I love this look that I stole from another blogger. Will mention her of course in the blog post with this look.
I also received packages throughout the week, which I had ordered myself. 3 Pairs of boots (1 pair doesn’t count actually because those are purely handy boots for cycling in the winter and walking),(in the wheelchair lol). Two dresses and two skirts that all fit super nice and well, a few belts and some very nice necklaces. Love all the new stuff, I can’t help it, I just love it. It gets me in a positive mood again! Thursday and Friday were nothing special, just fine days.
The weekend was quiet because Gerben had a breakdown service and then we can never plan anything. Friday night he was called out of bed again. Saturday I did my work out and took some blog photos and didn’t really do much else. We had a wonderful TV evening and watched Endeavour. Had a long breakfast on Sunday and sat outside in the sun! And watched the Grand Prix, also outside. In the evening Gerben had again cooked deliciously. And Gerben’s brother stopped by for coffee and to chat. All in all a lovely quiet weekend. On to a new week with something exciting on Thursday!
- Look athim! The King on his throne.
- This was last Sunday! Almost the end of September!
- Potatoes from the oven, stewed pears with Roquefort and walnuts and roulade with mustard sauce.
It does help when you are able to socialize again; humans were not meant for isolation. I am so happy to hear you are feeling positive again. I love getting new clothes and accessories too, it always brightens my mood!

Thank you very much Kathrine!
Yay! I am glad you are feeling more positive. I know being around people helps my mood but with me it is on a limited basis: too much people time and I need my space. Glad you weather has been nice enough to read outdoors. That is my favorite thing about fall here: being outside is wonderful when it is cool but not cold. Love your new boots. While I do not feel like buying any clothes right now, I think I want a pair of black wedge sneakers and a pair of cream boots (those I saw at Target and am waiting for a sale). I wear my wedge sneakers so much in fall and spring and I could use a black pair.

I don’t like too much people around me either. Wedge sneakers are great!
It’s so nice to be around people again…my people, that is. I’m still a little skittish around strangers. There’s such fun in retail therapy, isn’t there? You look forward to the mail coming. You try on new things and figure out how to put them with older things. Ah, I love it! I’m so glad you’re feeling better.

Indeed, I totally agree with not feeling great around strangers. Family and friends are enough for me. I love online shopping too, the exitement of unpacking!
I’m so glad to read that your positive mood has returned. It’s so nice going back to – more or less – normal and be able to see friends again, isn’t it? I have resumed my weekly coffee breaks with my friend, and that felt sooo good!
Great news on having walked 5 meters further than last year in your 6 minute walk test.
I’m loving the dress you are wearing at the top of your post, and I’m swooning over your new boots! xxx

Yes it is wonderful to meet friends again, it is so energizing! It really lifts my mood!
I love those new boots! I ordered myself 4 pairs and had to ship them all back since none of them fit properly.

I am so happy to hear that you are feeling happy again! Being able to see family and friends always helps. So does shopping haha. I also love that outfit with the silver booties and I hope that you are having a good week so far! ❤️❤️

Thank you very much Caroline!
Even a little bit of socializing just feels so good and recharges our batteries, doesn’t it, Nancy? I’m glad you are feeling better overall (well done on the extra distance!).
I LOVE your look with the belted blazer and dotted tulle skirt. I also have to plan a Hallowe’en look for the Good Bye/Good Buy book – but I’ll have something!
Castor is such a regal kitty! <3

I know you will come up with a fabulous Halloween look!
I love the cream blazer with the tulle skirt, such a fab look on you. I know what you mean about socializing, it was hubby and my mom all during Covid, so it was a bit stressful! Miss speaking to more people. Now, it is better. Glad you are feeling better Nancy.
Your meal sounded tasty!
