I’ve always loved multi-layered skirts. You know those long wide romantic vibe skirts. There used to be a girl in my high school and she always wore those multi-layered skirts. In ton sur ton colours, and it looked incredibly beautiful on her. I’ve never worn them myself, multi-layered skirts that is. Well, I do wear tulle skirts and they are multi-layered. I’m not really the type for it, for the romantic ones that is. It wouldn’t suit me. But what if there was a classic version of it!
Classic multi-layered skirt
And there was! In the shape of this pleated wool skirt. The lower part is a simple lined skirt and over it is a three-quarter pleated skirt. What I mean by that is, as you can see, three quart of the under skirt is covered with the pleated one. The skirt is quite heavy and wonderfully warm. The length is perfect for me and this is another item from Zara which size is perfect. So it is possible….
I haven’t bought that much this season. Couldn’t find items that I fell in love with. But what I did buy, I was really very pleased with. I prefer quality over quantity……finally, lol. I also bought a few pre loved items that I will show you soon. And sold a few items, but not as much as I would like too. Help me clear my closets please, lol. You can check my Vinted account here.
How to wear a classic multi-layered skirt
As you might guess, keeping it simple. I like to put some quirky items in the spotlight and keep the rest quiet and simple. This multi-layered skirt belongs in the foreground. And with black, you get that, don’t you? So, a simple black sweater with gold buttons, these are from Zara, they have them in all kinds of colours and wonderful to wear. And leather boots. This necklace looks very nice on this sweater and is just more than enough accessories, and the watch of course, but that is basic for me, just like the earrings. But…..I am learning…….when I am ready dressing myself, I often need to add one more thing (cardigan, scarf, accessories) and here I added two! The bracelets and the ring!

That skirt is beautiful! I like how the pleats add movement to it but because they are asymmetrical it doesn’t add bulk. Very pretty on you!
