We are a international group of fashion bloggers who meet once a month. One of us chooses a theme in turn, and that can be anything. A book, music, a color, a movie. And then we style an outfit based on that theme.
The theme of this month is chosen by Debbie and is: Accessories Make the Look!
What is so nice about doing a series together with other fashion bloggers, that it challenges you. As you all know, or perhaps it stands out, and perhaps neither, I never wear many accessories. I almost always wear my Michael Kors watch and my Michael Kors bracelets. But then I don’t wear a ring. If I don’t wear bracelets, I wear a statement ring. And always earrings. Simple ones when I wear my bracelets and watch, and statement ones when I only wear a ring. It was therefore a nice challenge to do something with Debbie’s theme. Accessories make the look. Well, let’s see if they do!
Which look do you like best?
To show what accessories can add to a look, I show you a very simple outfit to accentuate the jewelry. On the first photo I don’t wear any accessories. I will never wear it that way, I am not that minimalistic. But just to give you the feeling hey. On the second photo I show you how I would normally wear this outfit. So with my watch, bracelets and statement earrings.
And in the last photos I have adapted to the theme. I actually like to wear those necklaces together. And there is nothing wrong with wearing two statement rings! You see why this is so much fun to do with other bloggers. It is good to challenge your self to wear other things or styles then you used to. Just to try and see how it works out. I think I will wear a bit more accessories then I did before!

I’m definitely the opposite of a mininalist. Give me accessories or give me death…haha!! So how could i not like the after photos??

I absolutely agree – it’s all about the accessories! They make all the difference. Your dress is a great basic and you can change the look so easily by switching up the shoes, scarf, etc.

As I surely don’t have to tell you, I am not a minimalist in the least, and I definitely agree with the statement of this challenge. And choosing accessories to go with an outfit is so much fun! In other words: I love your third look. Wearing several necklaces is such a fun idea, and I love how you used the scarf!

Well you came up with a perfect theme!
I am usually a maximalist when it comes to accessorizing. I wear 5 rings on a daily basis (wedding ring/anniversary ring on one finger, plus jade ring/steel ring/silver mid-finger ring on another), and nearly always wear 1-2 statement rings. I love wearing bracelets and cuffs, and also big statement necklaces and earrings. I don’t always wear everything at the same time…but I might!
