Oh what a wonderful skirt I found again. What can a person be so happy with a piece of clothing right? I certainly can. I really love skirts with a uneven hemline, always have. Especially when the rest is very simple. I also really like the frayed hem. And another denim item! It’s almost crazy. I already have two jeans and two denim skirts. I recently sold two old pair of jeans. Of course I don’t want too many. I also have two denim dresses…….and a jacket…….quite a collection, lol.
My love for a uneven hemline
Here we go again, my trip down to memory lane. I can remember a gorgeous skirt, about 20 years ago, that had a uneven hemline. A lot of clothing that had a uneven hemline were to alternative for me. I have a love for classic designed clothes. But that skirt was so elegant. When I look back at clothes I wore until, about, when I was 40 or so, it seems that it was much more interesting.
I used to buy a lot from h&m when the first shops opened in The Netherlands. And I was a huge fan, because the clothes were different, creative, exiting. And now for years I think it’s all so basic. But not only at h&m. The store where I used to work had amazing creative and different collections. Totally different then other shops, we really stood out. Very feminine and with our own style. Later it became also very basic and not bolt anymore. What a pitty.
Oh this uneven hemline skirt is going to be a favourite
Just like this cargo skirt, I know this one will be worn a lot in the next months! These are perfect to wear as the fabric isn’t fragile. Perfect for holidays in England. If we ever get there. Oh I should not complane, we have been in November and that was so amazing! But we are homesick for weeks already.
I wear this uneven hemline denim skirt with a denim blouse as double denim is a trend! Well, I say that totally wrong, I don’t wear items because they are a trend. I wear them because I love them. And for years I loved double denim, with a skirt and blouse of course, not with jeans, even when it was not done. And what about this gorgeous bomber jacket! I am in love! Always wanted a original American baseball jacket, this is for me a very good substitude.
Angie is continuing her animal print series and featured me again! Now with a scarf. Thank you very much Angie!

Thanks Tina! Happy Easter!
I love a bit of double denim and I think you’ve nailed it with this outfit, Nancy. I’m not normally a fan of the frayed hem, but it seems to work really well on this skirt. Perhaps it’s just jeans I don’t like so much.
Have a lovely weekend.

Thank you very much Suzy! Have a good Easter weekend!
I love the monochrome theme of your outfit! I have been wishing I had a pair of navy or blue shoes to wear with some of our outfits. I am trying to wear my denim skirts more as they will be a little warm in summer.

These are my only blue shoes. I definitely want another pair. I see a lot of denim style boots and sandals, they are fun.
The skirt is a winner in my book too! Love that you went with double denim and the baseball jacket is a fun topper to it all. Thanks for the link up Nancy!

Haha, I find that real funny, that we chose the same! Yes I remember that too, but a lot were very alternative. And I like everything about alternative, exept the cclothing, lol. Thanks love, enjoy your Easter weekend!
There is often no rhyme or reason why one item gives such pleasure. Comfort, color, take you anywere kind of style but it’s a great look and the delight is on your face, it’s a keeper!

I’m usually not a fan of uneven hemlines, but this skirt is indeed gorgeous, and I totally get why it made you so happy.
Also loving the double denim!
Oh, I remember buying a lot from h&m too when they opened their first shop in Antwerp. Definitely agreeing with you that their clothes aren’t what they used to be! xxx

Hi, Nancy – Yes, I agree this skirt is definitely cool! I like the array of light blues in the outfit, too. I can’t even count how many pairs of jeans I have! Maybe 13? They’re all good, but there are a few I don’t wear much so I guess I should let them go, right? Thanks for the shout out – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com
Oh, that is definitely a standout skirt, Nancy! I like the uneven hemline and frayed edges. I haven’t tried the denim on denim yet because I just can’t seem to make it work. You did a fabulous job here!

The bias ruffle on the skirt is such a cool detail—this is definitely a more chic, polished take on the denim maxi skirt trend. I can see why you like it so much!

Phew, I just made it into the link-party, thanks, Nancy! 🙂
I love asymmetry in clothes, so I’m also a fan of uneven hemlines. I also love ragged edges – it’s the rockstar in me, lol.
