When I look in my closet I see, much to my surprise, a lot of pink. And I thought I only wore the colour in spring and summer. But I saw enough outfits with pink during fall and even winter in my archives. From soft to bright! Let’s see who else loves pink!
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series in February 2018, but we had been working together a year previous. So you can say we really like to host these series! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join us. The more the merrier!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?
It is a collage of outfits from all different women! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We’ll keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc.
But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Pink!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge

I bought this pink and black coatigan a few years back and I absolutely love how crazy bright it is. It is also super heavy and very warm for our long winters.A very good buy, indeed. The bright pink dress and my pink hat were also good buys and have been in my summer rotation for a few years now.
Carmen of Fashion with Compassion

I recently bought these pink floral pants (made in Italy) on the summer sale rack at a local shop. I knew they’d be great for fall, not only because I love pink anytime, but autumn weather in Ontario is like springtime. These are definitely a GOOD BUY and I’ll have them for years to come! Why wait for spring when I can wear them now?!
Marsha of Marsha in the Middle

Here’s my photo for the good buy! I love this shade of pink because it’s one I can wear! And, it was a fun coincidence my hair was shades of pink, too!
Joanne of Slices of Life

I just loved everything about this pink top when it arrived; I loved the color, I loved the style, I love the fun eyelet details. The only thing I didn’t like was that the fabric was a bit stiff and scratchy. I figured a few washings would soften that up and I’d be all set. But here we are several wears later and I still find the shirt unbearable rough. It literally leaves marks on my skin so after styling it with a pair of white pants for fall one last time I finally said good bye. Life is too short for uncomfortable clothes.
Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style

These are a different pair…does it surprise you to hear that I might even have more than 2 pairs of bright pink pants??
Mireille of Chez Mireille

Pink! I didn’t used to like pink, but it the right shade, I now love it! I thrifted this dress a couple years ago and the fun style has made it easy to style almost year round!
Di of Di-alog

And here is my pink

When I wear pink, I often go for a ton sur ton look. Here is another pink outfit like that and here with burgundy. But I loooove this look. That blazer I had for so many years, and wore it a lot. Everything I am wearing I wore a lot until it was washed out or just worn. So they were all Good Buys!
November’s theme will be: Slingbacks!
Send your photo with a few sentences if it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye and we will put you in the spotlights! Send it please before the 10th of each month to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to batennancy@gmail.com
By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for next month!
And now hop over to Shelbee’s blog to see what the other fashion bloggers are wearing!
I am loving all the beautiful pink outfits! Mireille’s dress is so cute and I adore Di’s Valentine’s outfit as well as your ton sur ton pink outfit. It is all so good! Thanks to everyone who participated this month. In honor of breast cancer awareness, I have my mammogram scheduled for October 31!

I am love seeing all the pinks! It’s such a happy color.
Your pink outfit Nancy is stunning. You should definitely wear that more often.

Jodie
Lovely to see all these pink outfits, which are definitely brightening up these grey days.
Love your bright pink blazer, but I’m blown away by Shelbee’s outfit! xxx
Love seeing all the fabulous pink in these outfits! All of the ladies look wonderful and vibrant! Pink is one of my favorite colors to wear. I find it so cheerful and happy! Although I know you don’t wear pink often, you look terrific in your pink dress and blazer. Looking forward to the slingback challenge next month, as I love wearing this style and have quite a few pairs in my wardrobe. Thanks for hosting this challenge and hope you have a good rest of the week and weekend!
Everyone looks so pretty in PINK! Love all the different shades!
Nancy – love your ton sur ton.
Shelbee – looks cozy and warm enough to weather a cold day.
Marsha – an elegant look.
Joanne – looks pretty, but I totally agree, if it’s not comfortable–good-bye.
Jodie – Pink shoes completes this outfit.
Mireille – pink plus ruffles, so feminine.
Di – pink and burgundy are one of my favourite duos.
Sally – I’d love to see the crane print on this hot pink sweater.
I’m happy to be part of THINK PINK!
