Leggings-The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book

Leggings….. yeah…..right. I only wear leggings under a skirt or dress in winter, because I don’t like tights. I have skinny legs and no ass (pardon me) and leggings look bad then, in my eyes anyway. So I had to dig in the archives once more. Because I do remember I had two pair of leggings back then, and I actually liked them a lot.

Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series in February 2018, but we had been working together a year previous. So you can say we really like to host these series! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join us. The more the merrier!

What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?

It is a collage of outfits from all different women! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We’ll keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc.

But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!

So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Leggings!

First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge

I bought these fleece lined tie dyed leggings years ago and they were my favorite loungewear pants for quite a long time. So soft and cozy and a little bit silly. I think they look more like marble than tie dye. I still have them but don’t wear them as frequently anymore. I still consider them a really Good Buy though. Such a Good Buy that I have four pairs of them!

This is one of my many pairs of leggings from J Jill. Unfortunately, you can’t see them very well as I almost always wear them when something is just a little bit too short or open. I have them in several colors, too!

I only have one pair of leggings that I wear as part of an outfit and not to work out and this is the pair. These Zella leggings are probably 10 years old and have been the base for countless outfits including this one the first week of January.

Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style

I was telling Shelbee that I have been styling my Yogalates outfit to work for running errands after class by layering over my leggings. This week I wore a leopard skirt and red boots over my workout ensemble.
These leggings are always a good buy because I can layer them under other pants or dresses if it’s really cold.

I can remember when we sold leggings under every skirt and dress in matching colours! I still like the look of leggings under a skirt. I also liked these a lot, but only with that denim dress as far as I can remember. They were very soft, perhaps I liked the feel of it better then the look! They were Good-Bye’s in the end.
