![throwback Tuesday #1](https://nancysfashionstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Hairdresser-Throwback-Tuesday-1.jpg)
I have changed something on my blog. On Tuesday there is now a throwback at the previous week. About what I have done, I went to the hairdresser!, not necessarily from day to day, what I wore, what I have eaten, etc. Sometimes with a recipe, sometimes with what caught my eye on other blogs. Just a little bit of everything.
Why? Because it is exhausting for me to take outfit photos, but it also bored me a bit. And after I dumped yet another series of photos in the trash because I was not satisfied, I knew something had to change. I wanted to start with sentence a day anyway, but a bit different. And I wanted to show with the outfit photos a bit more how you could wear something in different styles. Not that I will do that every week, but just if an outfit lends itself to that. And that takes more of my energy level. Everything just stays the same on Friday. Then I also show an outfit and I always show my outfits on Instagram. So ….. I hope you enjoy reading! And of course there is always the Fancy Friday linkup party!
Also I will choose a older photo, a throwback, as my featured one, that’s related with the title of that week. This week it’s hairdresser. Just because of the fun! This one is from 2012 or end 2011. A dinner with my colleagues. With the best hair I had in years! I want it that shiny, long and curly again!
Throwback Tuesday
Since the Corona virus I am working out at home 6 times a week! Before I worked out 4 times a week, 2 times at home and 2 times at the gym. I miss the other people I work out with, but I love to do it at home. Telly on BBC1, Homes under the Hammer, and I forget everything!
Monday was Whit Monday in the Netherlands and Gerben didn’t have to go to work. Because his parents came to visit, which we had not seen for months, he baked a delicious apple pie! Really very tasty. This is also the only apple pie I like. In the evening we ate outside what we usually do when the weather permits. This week is going to be a bit of a crazy busy week.
On Tuesday I had to work out first, then the domestic help came, then a girlfriend came over for chatting and a piece of apple pie, or perhaps only for the apple pie lol, and the pedicure in the evening. In the meantime run a wash, start with a stew and also blog a bit and answering emails.
- It was delicious!
- My furry slippers(only inside the house when there is no one there)
- Teun is always sitting by me when I am writing
Wednesday I had a virtual appointment with Trinny London for some make-up products advice. I am a fan of Trinny and her styling and wanted to try her products as well. I ordered immediately of course and looking forward to receive my package. Gerben came home at 8.00 pm and it was the last day of sunshine so we wanted to eat outside of course. A bit late, so not that warm anymore, but a poncho should fix that and then when everything was ready the cooker didn’t work! End of the story, we ate inside at 8.45 pm.
What happened more in my week
On Thursday the ladies of the long point came by to discuss a few things and to prepare the program for next year. We are a group of 4 women who organize meetings for lung patients with guest speakers. We are doing this for the first time this year and we had the first meeting in March, after that nothing more due to Corona. Very fun to do and we are very well supported by the long fund. I bought cookies but one of the ladies brought a strawberry cake! So now I am stuck with the cookies.
- I don’t want to eat those cookies, but I know I will….
- Haha, a very small piece for Gerben
- Shirt dress with gold in it
Friday! Hairdressser!!!! Can you tell I was so exited to finally see my hairdresser again? Gosh, it felt so good. It was almost 5 months ago and the glitters were in abundance. The rest of the Friday was nothing special and we also had a quite weekend, no visits.
I saw this dress at Asos, don’t you just love it? But I hate it that it cost at Topshop half of what Asos is asking. But Topshop doesn’t deliver in The Netherlands. Well, I will wait for the sale(probably wait until it’s sold out), I never learn!
- I wore a vest over a tunic
- bird print top on black trousers for the bicycle ride to the hairdresser
Have you been to the hairdresser already? It was my highlight of the week! Sad isn’t it, lol.
Would really appreciate it if you would share my photos on Pinterest.
I would love it if you could follow me on Instagram!
You have wonderful hair Nancy ?

Thanks Tina!
I like your new format, Nancy! It’s great to get a glimpse into your day to day. You’re really rocking the workouts! As for the hairdresser, I never go. Just letting my hair grow and trimming the ends when needed.

Oh really? I can’t do that as my hair is layered and if it’s cut wrong then I have no curls.
This is a lovely read Nancy. I am already looking forward to next week Tuesday!

Haha, but I do love to work out! Enjoy your appointment!
It’s fun to catch up with you this way Nancy. I just ordered a couple of linen tops off ASOS…I didn’t realize they don’t ship to you.

Asos does, but Topshop doesn’t. Thanks Jodie!
It’s fun to read about your daily life, Nancy. I’m impressed that you work out 6 days a week! It shows, my friend! It’s the simple things, isn’t it? Going to the hairdresser and such feels so much better and “normal”.
Have a great week,
xx Darlene

Yes it did. It felt weird at first to go out by myself for the first time in 3 months! But so good!
As you might have known, I love this kind of post, getting to know a blogger a bit better beyond the outfits, and having a peek into their everyday lives! So yay, I think it’s a lovely idea to do a throwback. Your hair looks really amazing in the throwback photo, by the way. Gerben’s apple pie looks utterly delicious, and how wonderful that you were able to see his parents again. Oh, and strawberry cake and cookies! You’ll have to do an extra work out session, I’m sure 🙂 Isn’t it wonderful being able to go to the hairdresser after such a long time? xxx

I am so glad you like it! Yes it was great to go again, it did wonders for my mood. Gerben ate most of the cookies! When his sport studio opens again in July he has a lot of work to do!
My boys and I just went to the hairdresser on Friday; it felt so good to get rid of all those frizzy dead ends.
Author
Yes indeed! There wasn’t cut of that much like that for years!
I have a haircut scheduled for next week and I can’t wait! My hair is so dry at the ends and I need some of the weight off now!
I like this post, it’s a little bit of everything, even your lovely kitty, Nancy! I like your slippers too – very classy.
Author
Haha, no they are not classy at all, but I don’t wear shoes inside so these are good enough.
Loved this post and your new directions. Outfit posts are unbelievably demanding so it’s good to focus on life in general. Look forward to hearing about the Trinny London buys. I have a couple of things from her range and hope to visit in person sometime for a makeover. Our hair salons won’t be opening until July. I may not get seen until August, depends on their wait list. No point worrying about it.
Author
Visit in person? I want that too! Haha, that would be fantastic. Since I follow her I doubt everything about my style.
Your hair looks super. I’m going to get another colour for my hair and hopefully the next one will be when the hair salon is open. Have a super week Hun. Jacqui x

Thanks Jacqui! Have a good day!
I always enjoy these kinds of posts! I am thinking of getting rid of my gym membership as I am trying to run at the park and I have weights and a trampoline at home: I am making sure first that I will stick to it long term at home. We have eaten outdoors a lot this spring but it has now gotten to hot to do so: we will start again in the fall.

Working out at home feels much better for me as it saves time. But I did miss some things I don’t have at home like a leg press!
Got an appointment next week. About time ?
Author
Yes it was for me too, and today I went to the nail stylist. Feeling a lot better now!
I love that you’re gonna do this kind of post- will get to know you better too:) About the hairdresser…Going this MONDAY and I want to shout it from the rooftop!!!!! Please come see me again on Friday to link up with me for my Friday Link up – and of course I would never miss yours! xx
Author
Oh that is wonderful! Enjoy it!
You have lovely hair, Nancy 🙂 I really need to go to the hairdressers as I’ve not been for about a year. I was growing my hair to have a nice cut and colour in Spring but I never knew coronavirus would arrive. Nowhere open near us now and when it does everyone will be wanting a hair cut! You are doing great with your workouts 🙂

A Year! Wow! I am already curious how it will look after you finally could go!
I enjoyed reading what you’ve been up to. The apple pie looks sooo good! Yay! on getting your hair done!
Author
Thanks Kim, I appreciate it!
Nancy, I love this idea for a weekly post! So much fun to read what you have been up to. I still can’t get into a hairdresser around here as they are all booked through September. Ugh. Thanks for sharing and linking up with me.

September? My goodness, that’s a long time. I am so glad I could go! I hope you can go sooner! Not that your hair looks bad!! Lol.
Nancy, your outfit pics are so lovely that I forget how much they cost you. I admire your grit. Hope your feeling well today specifically!
