This flared sleeves dress is one with a bit of a crazy story. Let me tell you about it. Last year I worked regularly with a few companies. At a certain moment I stopped collaborating because you had to write two articles each time and it did not feel right to allow do follow links anymore. But sometime in the summer of 2017 !!! , when I still worked with those companies, I got a survey form from one of them. If I filled that in, I could order a custom made dress. In that survey I also had to give up my measurements, favorite sleeve, color, print, model, etc. You could only choose from a few options. Then they would make such a dress and then you got it in exchange for completing the survey.
I thought it was a strange story then, did not understand much of it, but you still do it anyway, recognizable? I never thought about that dress again and in the meantime I stopped working with them. And then a package was delivered. I saw the name on the package and thought: uh, I did not order anything. You guessed it, that was that dress! Haha, a year later! Anyway, it is still quite a nice dress. It’s a bit spacious, but a little bit of tightening and then it will be fine. The colors I actually find really nice together, a real autumn dress. So this was a unexpected but pleasant surprise.
Flared sleeves dress with a cardigan
I prefer to style this dress with other autumn colors and not with black. I think that the whole appearance of the dress would be different, much more frumpier. The dress is pretty thin, not summer dress thin, but too thin to wear it without anything. Now I am a person who is always cold, and I always wear a shirt and a basic shirt with three quarter sleeves during this period of the year. And then I still feel cold if I wear a dress like this without a cardigan.
That has to do with the poor oxygen intake in my body. My organs( can you believe that Google translated it as orgasm!) need all oxygen and therefore less goes to the skin. It cost my body too much energy to keep it warm. Very annoying. So I just wear a warm cardigan. But I usually find it a shame if you do not see the sleeves. That’s why I wear it often like this. And of course, the sleeves of this dress are too beautiful to hide. I always like it better if you have another color or print at the end of the sleeves. Then it feels more balanced. The colors that are in the dress, come back in the cardigan and the boots. And I wear green tights. The belt is Gerben’s!

That is a funny story Nancy! How cool that you got a dress in exchange for a survey! I’ve decided not to work with some companies because it was too much work – ha! I don’t like creating a wishlist then writing a post they want to approve first all for an inexpensive clothing item. No thanks!
