Combat trousers with checked shirt and still look feminine

Sounds pretty masculine, doesn’t it, combat trousers with a checked shirt. A bit like a forest ranger. But I immediately fell in love with this look. I did wear it with a heeled ankle boot, though, to keep it feminine, of course. But first, where were we?

Fun workshop and relaxed weekend

Let’s continue from last week’s Thursday evening. I had a workshop then, celebrating our 10th anniversary with volunteering for the community. (We participate in discussions and propose adjustments and ideas regarding social domain matters.) The theme was: make your own snack platter. It was so much fun. It was a cozy way to interact with each other in a different way than just meetings. Friday was cleaning day. Saturday evening my sister-in-law and brother-in-law came over to play cards, so I first worked out in the morning and then made snacks for the evening.

Sunday was a lazy day, as card evenings usually run very late, or actually early… Monday was the same as always: laundry, working out, etc. Only, in the afternoon I had a terrible coughing fit that lasted a few hours. The next day I woke up with pain all over my upper body and extremely short of breath. So I skipped working out and took it easy. Oh, how I hate that. I want to be active!

Let me tell you a bit more about the outfit. A while ago, I saw someone on TV with a similar look. I immediately fell in love and started looking for a shirt and trousers like that. I already had a similar sweater. I scrolled through all the usual websites, but I couldn’t find anything I approved of. So, off to Vinted. And there I found the trousers and shirt. And they both fit perfectly! It was exactly how I envisioned it. Well, it’s not often that I can actually find it then, so it was a surprise.

The photos are a bit strange, though, because I’m being cut in half by the sun. Oh well, you’re not used to the best photos from me anyway……Wearing it with my favourite ankle boots. I think a outfit like this needs a bit of a heel to make it feminine. Or a lot of asseccories. I want to wear it without the sweater and with my brown slingbackes when it gets warmer.

What else went on

Wednesday I was feeling a lot better, that is so weird right, one day you feel really shit and the next day it’s over? Well my body still hurts from being out of breath so long, almost 5 weeks. When I am out of breath like that  you start to use your intercostal muscles and that gives you muscle pain. But it’s all looking much better. I did not do anything special the rest of the week, just working out and household cores. And waking up in a white world…..again….hate it. Enjoy your weekend!

This is a great casual look. I wouldn’t describe it as masculine at all. Glad that you are making a good recovery after a terrible time.
