For someone who claims that she doesn’t like to wear trousers, I wear them quite often lately. Today I show you how I wear chinos over my knee high boots.
I have an excuse for wearing much trousers lately. I’ve been cold all the time this season. It really drives me crazy. Only in the evening when I’m in my onesie, (yeah, I wear that sometimes…..sometimes!) on the couch and it is 23 degrees in the house, then I am nice and warm. In the morning it is 21 degrees in our house but then I am often working out so it is not so bad. But I don’t know what it is why I am so cold, it is very annoying.
Chinos over boots, nice and warm![blue monochrome look](https://nancysfashionstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/blue-trouser-suit-5.jpg)
So if I go somewhere where it is not that hot, I dress warm. And trousers with boots are simply warmer than a skirt or a dress with tights. Certainly if I am going somewhere on my bicycle. I hate to wear tights on the bicycle.
We had a party a few weeks ago in our village and we went on the bicycle as it is just 3 minutes cycling away. I was cycling for about 5 seconds or it started raining. You can imagine how my curly dry hair looked when we got there. And on the way back it was almost freezing! But that was around 01.00 am and a few Baileys later so I didn’t notice much of the cold! Lol.
Again monochrome in blue![chinos over long boots](https://nancysfashionstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/blue-trouser-suit-6.jpg)
The items that I am wearing today are all several years old but I still wear them with great pleasure. Especially the military jacket is one I wear a lot. Such a easy color and I love the lenght. The ruffled blouse is a sheer one, fun to wear in summer with a camisole. To break the monochrome look a little I wear an orange belt with it. Under the chinos, I wear my blue suede boots. I don’t wear them over it because I don’t like that. And I have not opted for ankle boots either. Because I just wanted the chinos to cling on the boots. I like it that way! Blue earrings and two blue statement rings complete the outfit!
Would really appreciate it if you would share my photos on Pinterest.
I would love it if you could follow me on Instagram!

Oh, I love this outfit, Nancy! The ruffled blouse is gorgeous, and I love how you’re breaking up the monochrome blue with that cute orange belt! xxx P.S. Re:Subscription, I know, still haven’t had time to figure out how to do it, but I’ll definitely let you know if I do :-))

Yes please do because I don’t look at Facebook that often.
I’m always cold too Nancy. And I have one of those onesies…I call them footies!!!
I just love the bright belt with this outfit too. It’s such a fun twist.

Haha footies? My onesie is without the foot! Lol.
That pop of orange really makes the outfit for me. I like my long pants under my boots if the pants are slim, but over boots if the pants are wider. All this blue is wonderful!

Fantastic outfit! That little pop of orange from the belt is perfect. I’m amazed that you found so many separate pieces that are the same shade of blue.

A garbage bag? Haha, no there are a lot of items I can’t wear, but thanks!
You have such a unique style. I love how you confidently put outfits together. I have curly hair like yours and am trying to grow it out. I was so tired of wearing it shorter because that’s what we’re expected to do, if we’re over 50. I enjoy your blog. Happy New Year!
