Shelbee really wanted to do Rainy days for April as it rains a lot this month at her place! Well my friend, rainy days it is. But what to wear then? Because when it rains we only go out if we really must right? I mean, are you going for a walk or cycle a bit when it rains? Not me anyway.
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series in February 2018, but we had been working together a year previous. So you can say we really like to host these series! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join us. The more the merrier!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?
It is a collage of outfits from all different women! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We’ll keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc.
But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Rainy days!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
I bought this funky trench coat at a thrift shop in North Carolina a few years ago. I couldn’t resist the crazy print. While the plasticy fabric is great for the rain, I really kind of hated it after I had it home. So I passed it on to a friend who absolutely adores it. A Good-Bye for me turned into a Good Buy for her!
Mireille of Chez Mireille
I just thrifted this red trench (NWT) last month and haven’t had a chance to wear it yet but i love it!
Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style

She’s had this classic trench for over 10 years, and I love how instead of just a tan one, she bought a red one!!

And here is my rainy days outfit
This is the only rain coat I have, received it years ago for a collaboration. It’s a bit of a trenchcoat. It has a sort of closure at the bottom of the sleeves so that the rain can’t get in your sleeves. I wear it when I have to go to the gym and it rains. It has a hood that keeps blowing off. Not that ideal. But if I would have bought the coat, it would have been a Good Buy.
May’s theme will be: Little Black Dress!
Send your photo with a few sentences if it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye and we will put you in the spotlights! Send it please before the 10th of each month to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to batennancy@gmail.com
By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for next month!
And now hop over to Shelbee’s blog to see what the other fashion bloggers are wearing!
Yes to staying chic on rainy days! This remind me to get a good trench!

Thank you very much Kathrine!
I love Sally’s boots and all the red trench coats! I almost shared my red trench coat as well but decided on an umbrella and rain boots at the last minute! This was fun!

Haha, otherwise it would have been a very red edition!
Beautiful styles. This trench coat edition is lovely.

Thanks Melody!
I love how effortlessly chic and cool you look in the rain! I have a spring and summer raincoat, and then one of my winter coats doubles as a raincoat. I have had a few trench coats over the years, but the buttons always fell off, and I got so frustrated with that that I gave up, haha. Anyway! Thank you so much for sharing, and I hope that you are enjoying your day!

Haha, that would enoy me too Caroline!

Thank you very much Ann!
You are so right! I usually wear one particular pair of shoes when it is raining but otherwise don’t wear anything special as I either stay in or run from the house to the car.

What a small world that Mireille and Leslie both showed off red raincoats. Talk about good taste.

Yes, haha, great right!
We never have rain and yet I have 2 raincoats!! One of them is at least 10 years old from Target and I take it on almost all of my trips because it is so versatile. I have trench coat a lot like yours, too. Have never had enough rain to wear it…YET!! Love the girls’ red coats. Seems like everyone looks even prettier in red. Nice to see Lesley joining the fun.

Never rain? Wow, that is so weird from where I live, because we seem to have a lot of it!
