This colour combination does make me happy, yellow, white and black. That will surprise you, it certainly did to me. Because I’m not a fan of black and white together (although I’m liking it more and more) and you certainly won’t find yellow in my closet. Except for this yellow cardigan, but I have already gotten rid of it as it had stains in it that I could no longer remove. It was also about 11 years old, so it doesn’t matter. So now there is no yellow in my closet…..
Yellow, white and black for a spring look

Now that we are slowly creeping towards spring (well it already is but I mean the warmer weather) I have discovered that I am not yet aware of the latest spring trends. What a shame. Haha, not really, but I used to know in January what the spring trends would be, and I would go through my closets and sort through what I already had. And what I could incorporate with the newest trends. And then I would make a list of clothing and colours that I want to buy for the new season.
For The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book in March I was searching for a sunshine look, and what better to wear then yellow in combination with black and white. It’s actually a very classic colour combination that I now embrace. I only wore it once before, here, and also loved that outfit! So I did search for the spring summer trends in the end and saw the white blouse trend. In my head it is a stupid trend as white blouses are always there and can be pretty boring. But when worn with black and yellow it felt interesting to me.
Wear your white blouse over a wider black skirt and add something yellow

I am finding it increasingly difficult to find clothing I really love. I wish I could make my own clothes. Choose your own fabrics with matching buttons, decide for yourself how long, how wide, etc. Anyway, I’m not that creative, so we’ll scour the internet again. But I did go shopping with my girlfriend last week! Finally back into real shops again. And it was a very succesful day! I scored Western boots! And a lovely skirt, a leopard print blouse and four back t-shirts. My girlfriend asked why I would want 4 black ones…..well, they are are all different…..obviously.
So for this outfit I belted the blouse with a black leather belt. I am wearing my fabulous clay black and white earrings and a statement black pre loved necklace. Black ankle boots, but on a warmer day I would wear white sandals.

This is a fabulous look, Nancy! You also look beautiful in yellow. I like black and white together, but I don’t wear that color combination often. Anyway! I also feel like I am not on top of trends for spring, and I work at a shop! Haha. Have a wonderful weekend! XO

Love this outfit Nancy! Yellow looks great on you and it is such a perfect cheerful, uplifting spring color. So sorry the cardigan has left your wardrobe. I really love this look, Nancy. The yellow really lifts this black and white look to the next level!
Such a shame you had to get rid of the cardigan, it’s such a lovely shade of yellow! xxx

It actually was Ann. Because any more brighter yellow wouldn’t look good on me. Thanks!
What do you mean no yellow in your closet?? That’s tragic, haha.
But seriously, it’s not too late to learn to sew your own clothes. YouTube is like an instruction video and I know someone from our Forever Fierce group that helps people.
If you’re interested, I’ll look her up for you and give you the scoop.

Oh that is so very kind of you Jodie. But the problem is …first…time….but more then that is that I am way to impatience! I did learn to make my own clothes like 20 years ago and I go way to fast with it. But thank you very much!
This pop of yellow is so cheerful for spring! You are inspiring me to wear more yellow this year. =)
I hope you are having a great week so far!

I love this outfit although you’ve already gotten rid of the cardigan. That just gives you a reason to look for a new one! Back in the early 70s (yeah, I’m that old), I had a black, yellow, and white abstract floral dress. My mom bought it for me without me being there. At first, I hated it. It was too loud; I didn’t like the colors; I didn’t like the shape. Then, once I started wearing it, I realized I loved it! I don’t have any black yellow and white things that are just that. But, i could create something!

I tend to look like death in yellow but always admire it on other people. It really pops against the white and black of your outfit!

I absolutely love this outfit! You really can’t tell that the cardigan has marks on it. Maybe you could find a nice yellow jacket on Vinted – I’ve bought so many jackets there…too many actually!
