Is yellow and white a good colour combination to wear? Yes it is! A while ago I showed you these jeans, styled with brown, and I also have them in pink, you may have seen them too. I almost (very almost!) think it’s a shame that the weather is so nice this summer. Too nice to wear trousers. Because I would like to wear them every day. With the big chance that I would be so tired of them then in no time, haha, knowing myself. But I really don’t wear trousers when it’s nice and warm. Today I’ll show you how I like to wear these jeans.
A quick update on my transplant process. I’m on the list! That’s for sure, but gosh, what a rough few weeks we’ve had. First, I had to have a mammogram, the biennial checkup. I got a call from my GP about it on Friday at 4:30 pm; there was something they’ve seen that needed further investigation. Well, I can’t tell you how stressfull that was. Because if it turned out to be wrong, the transplant process would be stopped too. It turned out to be a cyst, after a six-day wait. Pfff.
After that, we had the green light meeting in UMCG, and I thought everything would be okay. Not entirely, though, because I have plaque on my coronary artery, which made them doubt whether I could even get a transplant. But because they felt I had no choice, they decided to go ahead with it anyway. Encouraging, isn’t it? Not! Now, there’s an increased risk of heart problems. I was immediately put on new medication. I was so devastated that I didn’t remember a thing about the meeting afterward. Luckily, Gerben did. But I’m definitely on the list, and no one can say how long it will last. The day after the conversation, we went to a festival with friends for three days and had a great time relaxing and recovering, as we were both so tired from all the stress. Now we’re going to enjoy the rest of the summer!
Wearing yellow, okay…..but with white??
How changeable a person is! And that’s a good thing of course, without change there is no progress right? I have really never, ever liked the colour yellow. Until I saw these trousers. And I have always found the combination yellow/white really ugly. I mean, then you look just like an egg right?? No! You are not! Haha, it only took me 58 years to find out that it is a good combination.
And to be honest, I don’t think there is another colour I like on these trousers. Well, perhaps blue. And brown then of course. Anyway, irl I think you will only see me wearing the yellow trousers this way, and with a white tee. Because, unlike some women, I tend to wear an item one way, perhaps two. I mean with one particular piece. But if I like an outfit then I want to wear it like that all the time. Why change a winning team! Call me Boring Betty anytime.
How I wear a egg!
Don’t you just love these yellow jeans? Yeah yeah, I have said it before, you must be getting tired by now. So, a white and yellow striped tee. I don’t wear a belt as I think that would look a but frumpy. Are belts out of fashion? I mean to wear it in jeans, or trousers anyway? It feels outdated over sudden.
The white sneakers you have seen more then once and aren’t that good anymore. I need new ones, but I want exactly the same, with gold. I wear golden jewellery and a yellow and white beaded bracelet. And fun yellow and white floral earrings. Now isn’t this just a lovely matchy matchy outfit! I love that!

That’s a great look, beautifully accessorised. I had a pair of yellow jeans but didn’t think they were flattering. Still looking for a better pair. I wore them with orange, green or pink.

I love those colour combos, but not on me. You, however, would look great in it!
Nancy, I am so happy you are on the list! Thank goodness the breast concern turned out to be just a cyst. The whole process does sound so stressful and I hope the new medicine helps with the plaque. Keeping you in my prayers!
Love the outfit too!

Thank you very much Kellyann! That means a lot to me.
I’m so happy you got on the transplant list. Every time I got a mammogram, they would call me back because of a cyst. It does cause so much anxiety and $$$ to go back a second time. Your outfit is so cute!

It is! But it’s good to have it checked right! THanks Amy!

Oh is it! Well then it is perfect for me right! Thanks Jodie.
I love the butter yellow! I like them with this tee too, but I think so far my favorite was with the leopard brown tee. I would see it paired with many other colors too, but you have to wear what you like!

Oh my goodness, what a time you’ve had of it lately. I can only imagine how stressful it all must have been. I’m glad to read you’re on the list though, and I am keeping my fingers and everything else crossed for you!
As for your outfit: what a surprise! I’m definitely not used to seeing you in pastels. It does suit you, though!
Wishing you a lovely, relaxing weekend! xxx

Yes it was hoorible, yyou know how it is, but it is over now and we are going to relax a lot now. Thank you very much Ann!
I really like the outfit. Yellow is my favorite color, but I can’t wear, so it makes me happy others can. You make a very nice “egg” indeed!
Congratulations on getting on the list and good luck!
As a kidney recipient myself, I get the stress around all of it only too well.

You have been through so much and of course you have a long way to go. I am glad you are finding ways to enjoy life and take a break from your health, even though I am sure it’s never really not on your mind.
As for the outfit, I am obsessed!!!! I desperately have tried to find a buttery yellow line this and nothing local. Anyway this is an outfit that would be on repeat for me.
Have a lovely weekend. ~ Bo

Nancy, I am so thrilled for you, especially after all you went through! I will cross my fingers, toes, and, well, I’ve run out of things I can cross! This is such wonderful news! And, yes, I love your egg outfit…though I never thought of white and yellow as egg, but I will now! Love the matchy matchy…we are girls after the same thing…I know there’s a saying for that, but I can’t think of it! Thanks for the link up!

Something with like minded or so…..lol forgot it too. Thank you very much dear Marsha!
Nancy, I’m so happy for you that you’re on the list!! What an incredibly stressful time, but wonderful that you made it through. And I’m glad that you and your husband and friends took some time to relax at a festival. I was laughing that you described yourself as looking like an egg! Not! Egg yolks are or should be much brighter. However, maybe butter and milk? At any rate, I fell for butter yellow jeans this summer, and I too usually dislike yellow. I don’t happen to own a yellow and white striped top, but if I did, I’d go for it. In the meantime, hope you can continue to chill and I wish you all the best!
Author
Yeah butter and milk sounds better, lol. Weird right, suddenly we love the colour. I have to say that I like butter yellow a lot more then bright yellow. Thanks for your kind comment!
Nancy, I love yellow! (Sadly, it doesn’t look good on me.) Your outfit is lovely. I am especially partial to the shade of yellow you are wearing. Ha! And like you, I like to have defined outfits that I wear the same way all of the time. I tried to mix and match, but my brain was not happy about.
I am thrilled to hear that you are on the transplant list! I apologize for being out of the loop. I had health issues and the care of my mother that began to dominate my time. Fortunately, my health issues are somewhat improved, my mom is now in assisted living, and we’ve moved to Albania. I finally have time to blog again!

Thanks for the link-party, Nancy! I love your yellow jeans, but I’d also find that a tricky colour to style. White looks great with it, and I’d suggest adding chambray (like a thin denim shirt) or a lighter blue jean jacket with them.
Author
Yes I wear it with a denim jacket when I go out, it looks great!
I’m so glad you’re on the transplant list, that must be a huge relief after such a stressful time. I hope the medication works for you. I love the yellow jeans, such a fabulous fresh look with the white.

Thank you very much Emma, I appreciate your words!
A few years ago, one of my favourite pairs of jeans were yellow but I put on a bit of weight and then they didn’t fit me anymore, but I lobed those jeans! They were a similar shade to yours, kind of a light buttery yellow shade. I think the tone of the yellow matters though. The fact that you never liked to wear it, probably because you never found the right shade, right? Same with me!
I hope you’re still doing ok, Nancy. I’m so sorry you had some rough weeks recently and I hope your transplant happens soon.
Big hugs
