Winter Coats-The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book

collage wintercoats

Hopefully the last time we can put on our winter coats, because I am ready to bring out my denim and bikerjacket! But let’s see if we have Good Buys or Good-Bye’s!

Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series in February 2018, but we had been working together a year previous. So you can say we really like to host these series! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join us. The more the merrier!

What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?

It is a collage of outfits from all different women! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We’ll keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc.

But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!

So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Winter coats!

First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge

wintercoats

I bought this Kantha Bae coat in Virginia a few years ago for quite a bit of money. It has proven to be worth every single dollar I spent because I wear it for three seasons nearly every day. Even on the snowiest of days…unless I’m chopping wood or shoveling snow…then I wear my giant puffer coat. This coat was such a good buy that I am considering adding another one to my wardrobe.

Gail of Is This Mutton

I’ve become a big fan of winter coats and have more than doubled my collection in the last year! I like bright colours so I am thrilled to have found the cobalt blue coat in the pic. It was reduced in price too.

Heather of Bauchle Fashion

My leopard print faux fur coat. It is not only versatile, but you can dress it up or wear it casual. And I just love wearing it on cold winter days.

Joanne of Slices of Life
burgundy winter coats

I got this burgundy winter coat in my Sitch Fix box a year or two ago. I just LOVE the peacoat style and the color pairs so well with so many of my winter outfits. It has a great hood too and while it’s nice and warm it feels thin and lighter weight than many of my winter coats. It was such a good buy!

I have this thing about coats. You wouldn’t think I’d need them in AZ, but I still love them, I still buy them, and I still wear them.

This furry thing was a thrfited find 2 years ago and I couldn’t pass it up. I know, I look like Chewbacca from Star Wars, but I don’t mind…it’s warm and it was a Great buy.

And here is my wintercoat

wintercoats

I have always hated these kinds of padded winter coats. But in the winter it is just too cold to go on the bicycle in a short one. So two years ago I bought this winter coat and boy am I happy with it! It is so nice and warm. And there are slits on the side which is very handy for my oxygen hose. If you zoom out you can see a small piece on the left. The concentrator is in my bike bag and off we go! A very very Good Buy!

April’s theme will be: Rainy days!

Send your photo with a few sentences if it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye and we will put you in the spotlights! Send it please before the 10th of each month to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to batennancy@gmail.com

By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for next month!

And now hop over to Shelbee’s blog to see what the other fashion bloggers are wearing!

All of the ladies that participated look great in their colorful winter coats! I have a puffer coat too, for the coldest winter days. They really can’t be beat when you need to be wrapped up extra toasty and warm. Thanks for sharing!

That’s brilliant that you can wear this when biking. Talk about functional.

Oh that cobalt blue coat of Gail’s is just beautiful! I love bright coats too but realized this winter that pretty much every winter coat I own is black (other than the burgundy one I shared).

I also loved that blue one a lot and I also have only black ones, and a dark green one.
