Have you worn your summer sandals already? I haven’t! Haha, yeah maybe a few times but it is raining here a lot. So sneakers are better then. But I want to wear my sandals so badly, because I love them! The only downside….my toenails aren’t painted anymore because of a bit of a fungus? mold? how do you say it? I hate unpainted toenails. Anyway, why not take a look at who joined us this month!
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series in February 2018, but we had been working together a year previous. So you can say we really like to host these series! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join us. The more the merrier!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?
It is a collage of outfits from all different women! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We’ll keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc.
But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Sandals!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
I bought these dark red rope sandals from Nomadic State of Mind three years ago. They were such a great buy that I eventually bought tan ones and black sparkly ones as well. Along with my Birkenstocks, my rope sandals are my go-to summer shoes. They feel like a comforting hug for my feet!
Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style
Living in AZ with summer temperatures over 100 degrees most days, sandals are a way of life. This pair is one of my favorites because yellow just goes with everything.
Joanne of Slices of Life
All of my absolute favorite sandals are flip flops. I bought this sparkly pair a year or two ago and they have been such a great buy. They are black and comfortable and have clear rhinestones up the band so they go with everything. Even though our spring has been a bit chilly I’m still wearing flip flops with my sweaters and capri pants like I styled here.
Marsha of Marsha in the Middle
I bought these sandals on a girls’ weekend. And, while I love them because they’re so pretty, I just can’t walk in them. I’m not giving up on them, though. I’m going to try to figure out how to attach a strap to them!

And here are my sandals
I think these are my favourite! Older photo’s hence the nailpaint…. I love these, they are several years old. But they are so comfortable. It’s from my favourite shoe brand Tamaris. I love the straps and the zip at the heel. A very Good Buy! I also worn them with the joggers recently.
Send your photo with a few sentences if it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye and we will put you in the spotlights! Send it please before the 10th of each month to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to batennancy@gmail.com
By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for next month!
And now hop over to Shelbee’s blog to see what the other fashion bloggers are wearing!
So many fun sandals! I wish I had longer sandal weather here!

Yes they are! Haha, thanks Jodie.
I love all the different styles of sandals! I still haven’t figured out how to fix mine, but I will!

Yes, it is a pity not to wear them!
It’s such a fun theme! I haven’t been able to wear my sandals as much this spring yet either since ours has been pretty rainy and cool too… but I try to wear them anyway on any day it’s not raining since our season is so short.
Hi, Nancy – I love your sandals; they are so classy yet edgy and look great on you! I bought three new pairs of sandals this Spring even though I have so many already. But not all of them are comfortable. What’s weird about shoes in general is that it seems we women always need to have a variety of styles in order for them to go with whatever outfit we’re wearing! It’s time for me to purge a lot of them that I haven’t been wearing in the last couple of years. Take care – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com

Haha, yes indeed Angie! Or we all are just shoe addicts!
