Of course January’s theme must be Grey! The most boring month of the year if you ask me. All the fun is over, all the decorations are put down, the weather is shit! And there is nothing exiting hanging in the shops, lol! But grey isn’t a boring colour! Actually it is a colour that matches with almost any other colour. So let’s see how fabulous January’s theme is!
Just a friendly reminder for January’s theme!
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
Send us a photo of your favourite, or not so favourite grey!
You can send either a Good Buy, a grey item that you are thrilled about, or a grey item that you are going to say Good-Bye to. Write a few lines why it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye or send in both! If you want to be featured on both our blogs, please sent in different outfit photos. You have the time until the 10th to send us your photos! Mail to: info@nancysfashionstyle.com or shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
We will feature you on January 15th on both our blogs and social media. We are looking forward to see your contribution!
Have a great day,
Shelbee & Nancy
I think grey can be very chic and doesn’t have to be boring at all! Proof is in your outfit! xxx

Thank you Ann!
I love how you’ve embraced the grey theme for January! It’s such a clever way to bring some fun to a month that can feel a bit dull after the holiday buzz. Grey may seem neutral, but as you pointed out, it pairs perfectly with nearly any color, and it’s a great way to create some stylish, understated looks for the new year.

Indeed Melody! Thank you very much.
I did it, Nancy! I love grey and have to stop myself from buying anything more grey! But, I’ve already sent both you and Shelbee photos!
Have a fabulous week!

I wanted to sell it a few months ago, but it’s actually to good isn’t it!
It’s not grey where we live, haha. But it’s a great neutral.

Haha, I am going to live with you I think! Lol.
I really love grey winter-y pieces like long wool coats, sweaters, and boots! Your duster here is fabulous.
I hope you are having a great week so far!

A very fitting theme for sure! Love those yellow boots with your outfit Nancy!

Yes me too, unfortunately I haven’t got them anymore.
The grayer my hair gets, the more I like wearing gray!! Ha!! I am becoming one big monochromatic column of gray. Love your gray look, and the pop of yellow that adds such cheerfulness to the outfit. I LOVE snow, too, so your backdrop is right up my alley. But you are right, aside from some occasional white, January is awfully gray!!

Yes it is, although today we see the sun for a while! Thanks Leslie!
