There’s something timeless about denim. It’s the fabric that never goes out of style, and when it takes the shape of a wrap skirt, you get the perfect blend of casual cool and feminine flair.
This season, I’ve fallen head over heels for the denim wrap skirt. Yes you can tell I really start to love denim, and jeans! But I have always loved denim skirts, they are very cool and still elegant and can be classics. I also bought a fabulous denim dress……but that one is for later.
Why a denim wrap skirt?
The denim wrap skirt is a wardrobe essential that combines structure with softness. The wrap style gives it a flattering silhouette that cinches at the waist and allows for a bit of playful movement as you walk. Whether it’s a light wash for a summery feel or a darker indigo, like this one, for a more polished look, it’s endlessly versatile.
Why I only have a denim wrap skirt at the age of 58 is beyond me.
Pairing it with a blue top creates a monochromatic look that’s anything but boring. I never think a monochrome look is boring, I almost only wear monochrome outfits. A pale sky-blue blouse adds a breezy, romantic touch, while a navy or cobalt knit gives off a modern, confident vibe. The magic of this combo is that it can be dressed up or down effortlessly.
For Daytime Casual: Tuck in a soft cotton tee or button-up shirt. Add white sneakers or tan sandals, a woven tote bag, and you’re set for brunch or a stroll through the city.
For Work or Evening: Choose a structured blouse or a silky top in a rich blue hue. Add block heels or ankle boots, delicate jewelry, and a sleek clutch.
For a Layered Look: Throw on a lightweight cardigan or a cropped denim jacket in a contrasting wash for texture and interest.
How I wear my new skirt

I bought two tops to wear with this denim wrap skirt. Of course I can wear whatever on this skirt, everything looks good with denim, but you know I love a monochrome look. So I bought two blue tops. This polo-neck top with fun checkered details is one of my favourite ones,
I guess I like a polo-neck. I wear it with new blue sandals with all different straps.
A lovely blue necklace with a cheerful sun and a lot of blue beaded bracelets. This denim wrap skirt shows a lot of leg when I sit down, so have to be careful with it, lol. Or just don’t give damn. I think it will be the latter. I will show this skirt soon with the other top because I am wearing this one a lot!

That outfit is absolutely perfect, Nancy, and I would wear it in a heartbeat.
I’ve got several denim maxi skirts, but wouldn’t mind adding this wrap one, even if it has revealing properties 🙂 xxx

A denim wrap skirt is such a good idea—it has so much more movement and shape to it than a regular denim skirt. It looks fab on you!

The wrap skirt is lovely, Nancy! I tend to avoid wraps, as I don’t like them opening up when I walk.
Thanks so much for the link-party!
