Yeah! It’s the 15th and that means The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is here with Denim Jackets!
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?
It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Denim Jackets
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
Ralphie and I are both wearing thrifted denim jackets that we love. I wear mine all the time in the Spring and Fall so it is definitely a Good Buy. Ralphie recently got his denim jacket this Winter so there haven’t been many opportunities for him to wear it since it has been too cold. Whether his was a Good Buy or not is yet to be determined!
This is Lesley of Jodie’s Touch of Style
I’m including a photo of Lesley for this…her blog post will be live on Wednesday, April 8 if you want to link to it. She has had this jacket for over 12 years but NEVER wears it. So I think she would vacillate on whether it’s a good buy or not. She think it’s too boxy, but I keep telling her they all are. It’s the look and it’s classic. We will see if I can change her mind….
This is Kathrine of Kathrine Eldridge
Here is my fave denim jacket of the moment. I received this through a collaboration with Liverpool Los Angles and I adore it! It’s lightweight and gives me all the 90’s vibes.

Denim leopard print jacket that I Thrifted definitely a good buy
This is Kellyann of This Blondes Shopping Bag
I love my denim jacket – I have had it for over 15 years and it just keeps getting better and better!
Here is Rosemary of Distinctly Southern Style
When it comes to Jean Jackets for me they are always a good buy! On a breezy spring day, drape a trendy jean jacket over your shoulders while wear a pretty feminine dress. You are stylish, yet casual.
Here we have Lucy of Confessions of a Montreal Styling DivaSending you my very favourite denim jacket. Its hip length and it’s a Levis- I love it! It’s absolutely a good buy! I actually found this at a vintage shop- and it still had the original tag on. I got it for a steal.
Here we have Mireille of Chez Mireille
I love my denim jackets! I have worn them so much this spring! I am one of those shoppers that thrifts but also sometimes buys clothing that is more expensive. My denim jackets are an example of that. The white denim jacket was from Plato’s closet and around $10. I have worn it with jeans, joggers, skirts and dresses.
This is Ann M. Bray of Spy Girl
Purchased from Canal Street Jeans, NYC circa 1999 Good buy!
Here is Sabina of Ocean Blue Style
Despite owning two denim jackets I hardly ever wear them. They do feel like a total must-have to me and I also treat them like my go-to staple for casual occasions. Especially when travelling. When in California even more so 🙂 But I never saw myself as the denim jacket kind of woman. Until this belted one came along. I am so loving it.
This is Rena of Fine Whatever
The rough edges on this thrifted denim jacket were the result of a DIY distressing project. I absolutely adore how it turned out and this beauty was definitely a good buy.
And finally my denim jacket
I always had a denim jacket. And almost always wear them with a leopard scarf, not here though. I think denim jackets look perfect on dresses!
May’s theme will be: Pre loved!
And now hop over to Shelbee’s blog to see what the other fashion bloggers are wearing!
Send your photo with a few sentences if it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye and we will put you in the spotlights! Send it please before the 10th of each month to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to info@nancysfashionstyle.com

A denim jacket really is a must-have, isn’t it? I wear mine a lot during the Summer months, and your post reminds me that I should dig it out! I always wear mine like you do here, over a dress. Like you say, it is indeed a perfect look! xxx

Nancy, what a wonderful staple a denim jacket can be in one’s wardrobe. As expected, each contributor has a unique way of wearing one and there’s not a “good bye” in the bunch. Thanks for hosting this monthly series and be well.

Thanks! And thanks for participating!
What a fabulous round-up of great denim jackets!! Love how differently everyone has styled theirs. Kellyann’s is like an old friend, I bet, after 15 years of good wear. I need to wear mine more. It is light wash and I kind of wish it was darker. I like your inspiration. Just bought a new navy tee shirt dress. Going to be glad I have the lighter wash denim to wear with it.

Yes, it will look good with a navy tee dress! Thanks Leslie!
