I have found two great pair of trousers, a few months ago,on sale. A bit of baggy pants in a fabulous green color, here and here, and these cargo trousers with a strap at the bottom. Cargo trousers for over 50 women!
Well what a news Nancy, you might think. Well, it’s not shocking or something, but first of all I can never find anything nice in the sale. Because if I had liked it, I would have bought it earlier. And I don’t like trousers at all. So when I see a few that I like, it is special.
These are cargo trousers for over 50 women!
Although I must honestly say that I had already bought two pair of trousers this spring. This pink Peggy Bundy one, and the camouflage trousers. It shouldn’t get any weirder. Before you know it I have turned into a trouser girl! Is not going to happen! I will always stay a skirt girl. What I find useful about trousers is that they are far more practical for cycling. And since I do almost everything by bicycle this season, you don’t want to wear the same trousers every time. And for the super observant reader: yes, I know that I had bought this skirt specially for the bike ……. I am simply a shop addict. Can not help it. (or maybe I can, but hey you only live once)
How a skirt girl styles cargo trousers….when you’re over 50!
Although I like to shop at Zara, I don’t find it convenient online. The sizes are often not correct, and if you want to send something back, you first have to print something. Then you will always see that your ink has run out. And then I have to bring it to a store not so nearby. But this time they were both good. I like to wear contrasts. So I wear these cool cargo trousers with something feminine and with heels. But to style these in a very ,to me, male way is also possible, then I would wear my combat boots underneath. That is not really my style, but I am going to try it.
I wore this outfit to my father in law 83 birthday. A lace top with a camisole underneath and my black sandals that I just love! And to add some color, yeah I know it’s not much, a lilac ring and colorful loops. (I forgot to wear the ring for the photos, I took it of because it was so warm and the ring was so tight, but I did wear it to the party!) I would rather loved to wear it with golden jewelry and no color, but hey, it was a birthday party!

Smashing! And so glad to see these tips. I have two pairs of cargo pants. Haven’t worn them much because they were snug. Now I am afraid they may be too big. Have struggled with styling them. But have some ideas now. Thank you for inspiring me to give them another shot.

If I were to wear cargo trousers it would be just like this Nancy. The heels and the lace adds the feminine touch. I find cargo trousers hard to wear because of my short legs though xx

I really love the cargo trousers with the contrasting feminine top and sandals! Very pretty! I have a pair of joggers that I like to dress up for date nights in a similar way.

I’m also a skirt girl, Nancy, and cargo pants have never been on my radar due to the pockets on the thighs (not exactly where I want extra bulk!). These are super-cute on you, though! For me to do cargos, they would have to be pretty special!
