The highlight of the week: going to a concert!

enjoying the evening sun and music

Definitely the highlight of the week! Wow, my head is still full with all the songs. But that was later in the week, we start at the Friday. Cleaning day as almost always, but we did eat outside for the first time in the evening. I love that. On Saturday, Gerben went motorbike riding with friends, so first thing in the morning we had coffee and an apple fritter at our place. After that, I worked out, and in the evening we went out for dinner. Had a delicious meal at our local Chinese restaurant, a teppanyaki menu. So incredibly tasty and we ate way too much.

What else did I do last week

On Sunday, we had a leisurely breakfast first, Gerben always prepares breakfast on the weekends, what a treat. And in the afternoon, we went to a garden center. Gerben still needed to replace some plants in the garden. A good way to spend the time, because it rained all afternoon. In the evening, we ate asparagus again, the season isn’t very long, so we are making the most of it. In the evening, watched another TikTok live and well… I saw something I immediately loved….. again… I will show it to you as soon as possible.

On Monday, I worked out first and then went to the nail stylist. Tuesday first to the gym and in the afternoon I Zoomed with Shelbee. We almost always chat for 2 hours and they are gone before we know it!

But then the highlight of the week!

On Wednesday evening, we went to a P.I.L. concert. Gerben had bought a ticket a few weeks ago and asked if I wanted to come along. But then I would have had to go in my wheelchair, and I really didn’t feel up to that. I don’t feel that comfortable in my wheelchair. However, I knew I would regret it, because I really wanted to see John Lydon’s band. And when Gerben called me from work to say that he had called the concert hall to ask how accessible it was, and convinced me that I really just had to go, I gave in.

And it was amazing! What a band, what a performer. And what a great atmosphere! It was the highlight of the week! The next day I had to get up early again for a workout, and I was so hungover. (Not from drinking, though) My whole body ached and I hadn’t slept nearly enough. But off I went. And actually, it was pretty good. I did take it easy for a bit in the afternoon. Going to a concert is just so good. I still hear the songs in my head.

Off to the hairdresser early today and playing cards at my brother-in-law and sister-in-law’s tonight. What was your highlight of the week? Have a nice weekend everyone.

I am so glad that Gerben convinced you to go to the concert! It looks like you had a great time. I really love all of your outfits this week! I was just telling Jeff how quickly our 2 hour Zoom calls fly by! We are never at a loss for things to talk about. As soon as we hang up, I think of about 10 different things that I wanted to talk about but either forgot or we just run out of time. Hahaha. I hope you have an amazing weekend!
