![how to rock red](https://nancysfashionstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/how-to-rock-a-red-outfit-19.jpg)
Red is one of the trend colours of this spring and summer, but how to rock it? Well the only red thing I had in my closet was a pair of pretty old espadrilles. Now I also have to tell you that I don’t like the colour red at all. But you know, nothing is as changeable as a woman. And especially if her name is Nancy. I was actually motivated to try out a red look by this article, click through to the Fancy Friday Favorite. I fell in love instantly. But if I’m not quite sure whether I will wear a piece of clothing often enough, or if something is very trendy, I buy it secondhand.
New red jumper, oh no NOT!
And I had already seen a beautiful red pleated skirt on Vinted in red. Finally, after a few weeks of hesitation, I bought it. And fortunately it is a beautiful skirt, like new. But how to rock it? For me red only looks good with pink or orange. But a monochrome red outfit is how you rock it in my eyes. So I had to look for a top, tee or jumper in red. And then it is of course quite difficult to find a top that matches well in terms of shade.
But I did find a red jumper on Vinted eventually. Not the exact same colour but more a muted shade, I like it! Sold as new and pilled everywhere. I was so pissed of as that happend the last 3 times with a jumper.
So I didn’t want to leave it at that. I didn’t want to send it back because that would have cost me as much as the sweater had cost. The seller herself thought that I was acting out and that I had been looking at it with a magnifying glass and even called me a fraudster. I could let it slide off my back wonderfully easily, because I didn’t feel like worrying about a €6 red jumper. And I told her that I felt sorry for her. Finished. I got a device to remove the pilled areas and put it out of my mind that it is not new. Moving on.
How I rock red, at least in my eyes……
So, a totall monochrome red look! With red earrings and a multi coloured statement ring to break the look a bit. I don’t think I would wear this outfit together a lot, I like the skirt better with a pink blouse or black I think. But I think I can rock a red outfit! I even like red a hole lot more now.

I’m so unused to you wearing such bright colours that I did a double take and reached for my sunglasses!
Your all-red outfit looks absolutely amazing on you!
I know a monochrome red look is out of your normal comfort zone, but you look fabulous in red, Nancy! The two pieces look like a dress on the computer screen. It’s great that the outfit is two pieces though, so you can pull them apart, because I predict you are going to fall in love with that red skirt! Thanks for sharing and for hosting the link up, and hope you have a good weekend!
Oh, oh, oh!!! You look fabulous in red, Nancy!!! I would be pissed, too, if the sweater was all pilled. But, that just gives you another reason to find a different top…pink, black, or another red! I love the all red look! It is truly spectacular! Thanks so much for the link party!

I think you make red fabulous! That is a stunning outfit on you.
Oh my gosh, Nancy, I adore this monochromatic red look on you! What a stunning outfit and the color is absolutely brilliant! Definitely wear this more! I bet it would look really cute with sneakers for a more casual vibe, too. By the way, I just laughed out loud at this part of your post…”But you know, nothing is as changeable as a woman. And especially if her name is Nancy.” Ha! Have a lovely weekend, my friend.

You look more than incredible in this, Nancy. Maybe part of it is the fact that you usually dress in more muted colors, so this really stands out and makes you look like a star.
I hope you do wear it more. You can easily change it up with a vest over top or scarf as a belt.
Bravo, bravo.

Thank you very much Hilda. Red boots look great under so many outfits!
I think you should wear red more often because you look sensational in this outfit! Most of my Vinted purchases have been good, although I recently bought a pair of patterned jeans (from the Desigual x Miranda Makaroff collection) and when they arrived they have stains and a bleach mark on the back – no photos or mention of it in the listing. I raised a dispute and returned them (seller had to pay for it) and am awaiting a refund. It’s a shame because they fitted perfectly!

Oh that is such a pity right? Why do people sell clothes with staines? I have to say that I had a few bad buys on Vinted after eah other and I was so ready with it. But I like the platform to much! So I am searching for treasures again!
