Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!

What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?

It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!

I am sharing a Good Buy gift that I purchased for Jeff from our fur babies this Christmas. We are big fans of silly tee shirts and this one does not disappoint!

Here is a photo showing 2 great gifts. The black leather jacket was bought using birthday money from my mom and the scarf was a gift from my stepmom from one of her vacation trips.

My oldest sister re-gifted her ice skates to me as she had broken her ankle and will never skate again. I love to ice skate but my old hockey skates are no more so I’m having a fantastic time learning to skate on figure skates. This is the best gift ever.

In 2009 or 2010, I got home from school, and the garage door wouldn’t go up.  My husband was standing at the front door.  I was really irritated that he wouldn’t open the door for me.  He motioned me into the house and told me something was wrong in the garage. I opened the door, and there was this beautiful 2009 Saturn Sky.  We had driven through the car lot a few nights before, and I’d said, “Oh, look!  Some lucky person is getting a new Sky.”  We did have to return the bow, though.  It was a good buy for a long, long time.  When we moved to Indianapolis, it wasn’t as much because it had so many blind spots.  We traded it in on a Honda Civic…talk about going from a cool car to a really uncool one!

And here is my favourite Holiday gift

I love to read real books, but I only read on the e-reader. So I am always happy when I receive a real book. Especially when it’s full of stories of my hometown Arnhem. A Good Gift!
