Today I’ll show you an outfit with slingbacks and some shine! In brown for the last time. I’m done with it for a while, lol. But I wanted to show you this shiny top and slingbacks and I thought the top looked nice on the brown skirt. As a whole I won’t wear the outfit a second time because I think it’s too frumpy. I should have chosen a more sturdy boot, or a pair of jeans.
We have two weeks of from today! So the next two weeks I have guest posts on the Friday but the Fancy Friday linkup party will be open!
I’m busy with things you don’t want to be busy with. Notary matters, a booklet with passwords and explaining the administration for Gerben.
Shine on my top, but not irl for the moment
I received a date for the screening, 12 May. After that, if you get the green light of course, I will be put on the transplant list. So then you have to have your affairs in order, so to speak. You know what I mean, I can’t even pronounce it yet. Yeah, I already said in a previous post that this is going to be a tough time for Gerben and me, and you are all going to enjoy it with me, lol. Okay, now we’ll continue with something lighter. The outfit.
The slingbacks! I love them! They are from Zara and are actually quite comfortable. And look at the heel! So pretty. I ordered another pair of slinbacks in black. The top is from Vinted and I thought it would be more of an old pink shade. But I think it’s such a pretty top that I don’t even mind that it’s more of a brown shade. If my face is a little kissed by the sun then it’s okay.
Slingbacks and shine…..and a bit frumpy brown skirt
I only noticed in the photos that it looks like you see a roll of fat, it’s not!! I’m wearing gold accessories with it, two bracelets, oh oh, but I don’t like three of them with these. My golden watch and golden hoops. A moss green camisole and a green hairband that I’m a big fan of. I have them in different colours and they are so nice! They are from Luvvies and stay in place all day. Super.
The brown skirt is from lastwinter and I am not that in love with it. It feels to frumpy. I thought it would look great with the top, and it does colourwise. But I’m not feeling it. I think the skirt looks better when it is a bit shorter. And it’s a fabric where everything clings on. I hate that, I am picking constantly.
And for those with an eye for detail. But Nancy, where’s your third green accessory? Because you don’t use even numbers for an accent colour, don’t you? That’s right! I’m wearing green eyeshadow! But since the sun was pretty bright, I had to keep my sunglasses on. Well, not in 1 photo! I actually loved it!
And now it’s vacation for us! We are going to Rye on Sunday. There will be no linkup party for two weeks. And in the week after that I will be in the hospital. I will post on Instagram in stories how that goes!
And now it is time to join a Fancy Friday Fashion party!
Every Friday you can put your blog, or social media account, in the spotlights and meet other bloggers. Even if you’re not a blogger you can join! But it is a fun way to let others know about your blog posts, and to support each other. It would be nice if you would comment when you join the linkup party.
My Fancy Friday Favourite of last week is: Kathrine of Kathrine Eldridge
I would also appreciate if you shared a link to Nancy’s Fashion Style in your post or give a little shout out on social media to promote the Fancy Friday linkup party! And now share your post!
By joining the Fancy Friday party, you agree to receive a weekly reminder email for the linkup party.
Slingbacks, shine and a blue sky! What could be better?

No idea Gail! Lol. But blue skies are the best!
Oh! Before I readyou saying you were done with brown for awhile I thought…what a beautiful brown skirt! And the cut of it is so feminine and flowy – you look beautiful!

I love the soft silhouette of these two together but if you’re not feeling it nothing to be done! We did all that business stuff couple of years ago, not nice but get it done and put it behind you. Just concentrate on getting better!!!

Interesting how much “frumpy” is in the eye of the beholder because I think you look great in this outfit and frump-free! Sending you best wishes for a great vacation and a hospital stay that works out well!

It might be just a tiny bit frumpy – which I know isn’t your style – but I’m loving the silhouette and the blouse is gorgeous.
Wishing you a most amazing time in Rye – we’ve booked our UK holiday, which will be Shropshire again, but staying somewhere different, in June! – and I’m wishing you lots of luck and courage with your screening and its aftermath. It must be truly tough and I’m keeping you in my thoughts! xxx
