In April it was my turn to choose a theme for The Thrifty Six and I choose double denim. For someone who only has two pair of jeans in her closet, and has never liked jeans, it is remarkable that I do like double denim. But I have to say that I really love these jeans. I would like to wear them every day. Never thought that would happen, and certainly not wide leg, but these…..super nice.
So hopefuly I can go home again today, I was in the hospital whole week.
Double denim with a touch of leopard
I have had this denim blouse for a while and it is from Vinted. It is a tight-fitting one, because just like with the blazers I do not like oversized blouses. But I do like contrasts in an outfit. So when I wear something like double denim, I like to wear something feminine with it. So for example heels, or lots of accessories. Well, a lot, for me a lot. I am very much into minimalism, lol. Except in my wardrobe! But I forgot to wear the heels, wanted to show you my brown slingbacks. I was into the leopard theme with my head.
Like I said earlier, I really love these jeans. The best with white sneakers and a glitter jumper. This is my other wide legged jeans, but the blue ones are more relaxed. I wonder how long I will love these, lol.
3 leopard accents, 3 bracelets
I said, a few posts back, that I read somewhere that when you wear a monochrome look, like double denim, and you want to add a accent colour, it’s best to do so in a odd number. Don’t ask me why, it just works, it feels balanced. And a few posts ago I did that but wore two bracelets. So someone pointed me to that fact and I adjust it now. Learning all the time. So, leopard print is the accent colour, or print, 3 times, 1 orange, 1 brown, 3 bracelets. Try it yourself and see if you,,feel,, the difference.
These ballerinas are from Tieks, shared a few months ago. And finally it’s the wheather to wear them. I am totally in love with the hoops at the moment, found some super light ones. (you know, older earlobs….) Also like the orange bracelet. I have one orange belt and this bracelet and further no orange at all. Just like yellow, nothing in that colour in my closet. And that is my double denim look!

This is a great outfit, Nancy, love the touches of leopard. I don’t count up my accessories like that, but the human eye likes odd numbers, so it makes sense that 3 bracelets feel more appealing to you. The pop of orange is awesome!
