You can see the beige trend everywhere! Especially in monochrome outfits. I tried this trend too by shopping my closet.
Can you imagine that I didn’t wear any prints at all for about a year and a half ago. Or perhaps once in a while a skirt with a print. And now I love prints. In fact, I like print on print even better!
I was inspired by all those beautiful outfits on Pinterest in monochrome beige. I have also seen a beautiful silk skirt in beige, but that one has to be tried on in real life and not ordered on line. And so there are a few items on my wish list that I really just want to fit first without the hassle of sending back, etc. But I have a bit of trouble making time. Sounds ridiculous for someone who doesn’t work. And I also want to cycle to the city. Because I can get closest to the stores where I want to shop on the bicycle. But I’ve been putting it off for a few weeks. In the meantime my eye shadow and my favorite lipsticks are empty, and I mean really empty, and I’m ready for a few hours of shopping. But really! Like in I really need it!
The beige trend already in my closet
Anyway, the beige trend. I still have a few things hanging in my closet, hum hum, and with that I created this outfit. I actually only wore this skirt with black boots and a black top. But it is nice, if you have the time, with a skirt for example, to go along your clothing to see what looks nice. And whatever you have! These garments are all a few years old and I hardly ever wear them anymore. But I will definitely wear this outfit more often because I really like it and I feel good in it. So you can see that shopping your own closet can be very surprising. Especially if you can take the time to style it differently as you normally wear. Because you sometimes get bored of a certain look, but if you style it totally different, it feels like a new outfit!
I would really appreciate it if you would share my outfit on Pinterest! Just hoover over the photo!
Your exuberance leaps off the page. Love your sense of style and positive energy. This is such a chic look. Thought, on first glance, that the skirt was polka dot. Then looked closer and realized it was purrrfectly leopard. Seeing your white booties reminds me that I just received mine and haven’t worn them yet. Need to get mine out of the box and on my tootsies.

Yes! Wear them! Haha, and show us!
Nancy, I love the way you’ve styled this “neutral” outfit. The pattern mixing, the graphic tee, the white booties–all make this outfit SO cool!! Love it, my friend!

Shopping you own closet can be vey rewarding indeed. I think you have pulled out a great combination again Nancy. I love how the whites and beiges make the animal print skirt softer and more feminine than combined with black (which I tend to do with my animal print skirt/dress). Thanks for the inspiration dear and have a great day. Love, Lieske

Your outfit is elegant, with a whimsical touch! I love how you paired the leopard print skirt with the graphic t-shirt. You’re getting to be an experienced print mixer, that’s for sure! xxx

You’re so right, Nancy – changing up how we style our old things makes them seem new again! I reverse all my hangers when I start Spring and Fall – that forces me to try to wear everything in my closet, or consider getting rid of it (swap/donate).
Great look – I love the tee with it.

I can’t do that, well of course I can , but I have everything ordered by skirts with skirts, tops with tops, etc.Good idea though. Happy weekend Sheila!
You look fabulous Nancy! And I can’t believe you didn’t wear prints for a whole year especially when they look so good on you. Hope you’re having a great start to the week!
