34th Anniversary and more

34th anniversary

Yes, Gerben and I celebrated our 34th anniversary last Tuesday! Because we still feel young at heart, like I think most people do, it sounds like we’ve been together since we were kids. Which isn’t true! We’re just old, lol. But what a time it has been! And it’s still way too short! I tell you how we ,,celebrated” it later in the post.

34th Anniversary and what else did I do

34th anniversary

On Saturday, I received a package I’d ordered on Friday. I called it a consolation package, because of the disappointing news about the transplantlist last week. Tiger-print balloon jeans, a brown sweater, and a yellow lace top. And it all fit perfectly! I’m thrilled with it and will show you soon. Dinner at our friends that evening. My girlfriend had gone all out again, and the food was delicious. We had a lovely catch-up.

Sunday, we went to the park to clear our heads of negative thoughts. It was just above freezing, but it was lovely. And the sun was shining, so that was a big plus. Monday, laundry, etc., etc. Tuesday, I first worked out at the gym, and then we went to the park again. Gerben had taken the day off because Tuesday was our 34th anniversary! It was sunny but almost o degrees, but it is a lovely way for us to relax and enjoy nature, the silence and tranquility.

Will I ever learn to take my rest?

On Wednesday, I planned to relax a bit because I’ve been feeling very short of breath these past few weeks and I also have heart pain, but I think that’s from working out. It’s not a pain in my heart, but in that area. I must have pulled a muscle again. Something about too much and too heavy…

34th anniversary

So I had planned a quiet day but I had way too much to do again. But nothing had to be done perse, so that took the pressure off. But I was cold all day! (but the jumper I wore looked good…….)Thursday I worked out, and in the evening I had a workshop for my volunteer work to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We are a group of residents who collaborate with the municipality on social policy and policy development. But I can’t tell you more about the workshop until next week, because I’ll finish these posts on Thursday afternoon. So have a great weekend and see you next week.

And now it is time to join a Fancy Friday Fashion party!

Every Friday you can put your blog, or social media account, in the spotlights and meet other bloggers. Even if you’re not a blogger you can join! But it is a fun way to let others know about your blog posts, and to support each other. It would be nice if you would comment when you join the linkup party. I also pin my favourite on Pinterest.

My Fancy Friday Favourite of last week is: Jill of Doused in Pink

Happy Anniversary! Glad you enjoyed your day.
It’s also nice that the consolation package worked out so well. Sometimes we just need something like that!
    Have a nice weekend.

Happy anniversary! Weirdly I was saying the same thing about my upper back/chest yesterday. It was really hurting but I knew it wasn’t heart attack hurt more like a pulled muscle hurt and i had been lifting weights so I assumed it was that.

Happy Anniversary! I am glad you were able to get out in the fresh air this week! And yes to some consolation shopping. I am looking forward to some thrifting soon! This week, I sure wanted to do some consolation shopping too, my mom was not doing well, but she is on the mend now. I tell you, doctors increasing meds and not taking into account certain things about a person… not good!

I’m so very sorry to hear about the lung transplant list. That is so frustrating, I can’t even imagine how hard that is to go through. I will continue to pray for you! I’m glad you had a nice anniversary! Happy Anniversary to you both!

Wishing you and Gerben a very happy anniversary! Roger and I have been married for 28 years and it is hard to believe how fast the time goes. It seems like only yesterday…It sounds like you had a nice day of relaxation and celebration with friends. It is lovely to get a package in the mail and everything works out as well as expected! We have a huge snowstorm heading our way tomorrow and below freezing temperatures for well over a week. Time to enjoy the outdoors before it gets here! Hope you have a nice weekend and thanks for hosting the link up
