DARK RED CARDIGAN DARK BLUE DRESS & FANCY FRIDAY LINKUP

My somewhat unsuccessful dark red dark blue outfit.

Yes, when I received these boots, I actually had a very nice outfit in mind. The same as this one but different! I will tell you later. And now you will think: but if this is not a successful outfit than why showing it? Well, because I am not a stylist, not a fashion designer, not a model. I will have to do with the skills I’ve got. So when I show an outfit that isn’t quite what I had in mind, so be it. We can learn from our misstakes and from each other isn’t that so? So have I learned this past year to adorn myself with more accesories. Ad a colored belt, a necklace, a ring or some other colored pieces. And the same goes for colors and prints. I never really wore prints, now I still don’t wear them that often, but I wont get it out of the way. While I am writing this, Teun is very loud snorring. It’s a bit annoying! Ah, dear old cat! I also use a lot more color and it’s just a little more enjoyable. Of course I still love all black, nothing as stylish as that!

So why is this dark red dark blue outfit unsuccessful?

Well firstly I forgot to wear the scarf that I now photographed seperately. I knew beforehand that the scarf would fit perfectly with the dress. And when I had put on this outfit I thought, I miss something! I tried on several belts, but did not like that. The boots I had worn once for the size…for a minute. I did five steps when I had put on this outfit and…..the zipper broke! F.ck! Sorry, but I had so many nice outfits in mind with these boots and cardigan. Nevertheless we took the pictures, you can see it’s broken now you know it. And afterwards I threw them in the container! And ofcourse when I changed clothes later, I remembered the scarf. Well well well, what a succes. So forgive me for this not so succesful outfit, it’s also a part of life, but I hope you will in any case love the colors! What I was pointing is snow. Snow in the Netherlands! Later we got a lot more! FANCY FRIDAY LINKUP LET’S HIT 100!

Fancy Friday linkup!

Wow, last week I was almost reached my goal of 100 linkups. There were 93! Amazing! We’re almost there, give it an extra push all together! Love you all for being so loyal!

Whining about nothing!

I had a real bad day yesterday. You know, an off day without a good reason. When I woke up there was nothing wrong, went sporting, everything was just fine. I had nothing else stand all afternoon and felt like an afternoon working on the blog. So I install myself in front of the laptop with some food and drinks, changed in something comfortable and get going. First answering the mail and then check all the blogs on new posts. And there it started. One after the other blogger was involved in nice collaborations with other bloggers and those who weren’t had great collaborations with interesting brands! Headache started to come and I got more and more frustrated. By the time I had checked all the blogposts and see who actually do not comment on my blog, I felt very said and insignificant, especially insignificant.

Why I let it be so important.

Why I let that affect me by others? Why is it so important to me that others respond to me, that others want to work with me, that I also get offers from businesses? At one point I was so sick of myself that I turned off the laptop and started cleaning up, emptied the dishwasher and played with the cats for a while. I said to myself: what a childish bitch you are! Just be happy for those bloggers! And what was I to complain anyway. I started blogging because I love to write and fashion is my passion. Is it not Nancy! Or do you let yourself influence suddenly by numbers? Oh no girl! Zen!

I never really had much confidence. Although since I found the niche in blogging and I better learn to accept my situation it’s getting better. But very rarely, I was unconsciously tired or something, I get influenced so that the confidence is crumbling a bit. It’s all human. I for one am already so far that I recognize it and end it. I can kick my ass and say: move on! I do things in my own way and that is a way I feel comfortable with. And I am proud of that!

BELL SLEEVES & FANCY FRIDAY LINKUP

Time for Fancy Friday linkup and wearing bell sleeves!

Because of the tip that Shelbee gave me last week, there were a lot more linkups then normal! We now had 78! Let’s shoot to 100! That’s my goal. Thank you all for linking up, I love it!

Bell sleeves and striped skirt.

This is the first bell sleeve top I bought. I loved them for a longer time but most are long-sleeved and I know that is not ideal. I see myself cooking diner and hanging with my sleeve in the gravy. No thanks. So this is the perfect one for me. I bought this skirt in spring in England and thought it would be more of an autumn skirt. Because of the colors. So now I can finally wear it with boots. I’m still looking for the perfect leopard print ankle boots. Yesterday I was browsing on the net and thought I had found the perfect ones, and then I found out that they didn’t send to the Netherlands! Oh bummer! The search continues. I did stumbled on this skirt. At first I thought, wow I like, but then I saw the stripes on the side. I didn’t like it, on the other hand it is also something more trendy and different. I’m going to think about it. If you find the perfect leopard print ankle boot, please let me know! Haha, and I am looking for guestbloggers who want to talk about their style with a picture that comes closest to their personality. Now it’s time for you to shine!

Skirt: bought it in May at Dorothy Perkins, this is another great striped one here

Boots: old, but don’t you just love these here

Let’s start with the Fancy Friday linkup!

LAST SUMMER OUTFITS

A compilation of my last summer outfits!

These are the last summer outfits I’m afraid. After this, I can no longer escape from the Fall collections. So it seemed fun to show pictures of my favorite outfits from last summer. But then worn in a different way then you already have seen. I usually show an outfit once, maybe I’ll show it a second time differently, and high rarely I will post it for a third time. But than I must be really fond of that skirt or dress. But of course I wear those clothes more then once, and often in a bit different way than I showed you. I like my outfits without lots of prints and simple. I wear almost only my Michael Kors  jewelry and nothing else. I do wear a lot of different earrings and sometimes an anklet, but that’s about it. I hope you like this!maxi dress in last summer outfits

This is how I wore it. I had no inspiration at all, but Tiina from Elegance Revisited told me how I could wear it in another way. And this way I liked it more! Thank you Tiina!

Here is how you saw it. I love this skirt, I will show you the skirt in Fall with a sweater and boots. I wasn’t really mawing the lawn! Haha.

I already have seen some beautiful skirts and ankle boots. I love ankle boots. And I love the Fall colors. I will show you how our vacation in England was soon.

I wish you all a great day!

WHITE SUMMERY DRESS & LINKUP

Wearing a white summery dress & linkup time!

I only wear white when there is a heat wave. So like now! I find it very ugly if you have stains on your clothes, and with white I feel that I must look all the time where I can sit down, if it is a bit dirty, or that you don’t touch the skirt or dress. I have therefore little white items, a few basics, a blouse and this dress. I showed it before here on the blog when I just started. Hahaha, I think I’ve grown a little since then! Blogging I mean eh!

[bctt tweet=”Are you wearing white dresses in Summertime? Show me!” username=”Nancys Fashion Style”]

A white dress when there’s a heat wave.

I wore the dress Wednesday night when we were with friends having drinks. So that’s why I wore the cardigan because it cools down quite quickly late in the evening. When it is so hot I prefer to wear something you don’t feel. A dress so, not a bodycon, but a not too tight dress. Little accesories, no scarfs and shoes where your feet can grow in. Mine get thicker in the heat! Of course you can wear bright colors with white, I prefer neutrals. Or, as I saw yesterday by Jodie, orange!

Dress: old, but this is a nice one too.

Sandals: simular here

Anklet: I forgot to wear this one!

BACK TO BLACK!

Today I’m going back to black!

After wearing a lot of colorful outfits this summer, I now want to go back to black today! Sometimes it’s just so nice to wear all black. And to think that I wore before black almost every day! Ah, what a person can change! I bought this dress a long time ago and never worn. When I wore it for the first time I thought, mm, it’s actually a bit short and it’s not really me either. After a long time I did fit it again with in my mind that I did not like the dress. And I liked it! I thought that it looked good suddenly. But I didn’t wore it, I just fitted it. So yesterday I wanted to wear the dress and  when I had it on……what do you think? I didn’t like it again! What the …is it with this dress?

[bctt tweet=”Back to black, but not in my favorite dress!” username=”Nancys Fashion Style”]

Back to black in a dress that doesn’t make me happy!

Crazy huh! So this one goes with the clothes to sell! Defenitely! I’m not going to try again. And the design of the dress is really nice, it’s a beautiful chiffon, it has lots of details and it’s a good quality. But I do not like the pleats and ruffles in one item and it is too short. I have a pretty long upper body and a short skirt or dress brings my figure out of proportion. So I’m done with it. I finally wear black again, and I don’t like it. Well great! And now I’m taking it of, because it is bikini weather here! Yeah, finally!

I hope you all can enjoy some summer days too. We have a heat wave here in the Netherlands! That means lots of reading in the sun and take a splash in the water! Oh yeah! (btw, yes I saw it when I previewd this post! I have to clean the garage door!)
