Hottest Upcoming Swimsuit Trends

Today I have Claire again as my guestwriter!

Even though it seemed like it will never come, spring is finally here. This means that summer is just around the corner, and if we really want to look stunning on the beach, we should slowly start preparing. Going to the gym and changing your diet will make you look amazing, but it’s also important to find the right swimsuit. This year’s trends are incredibly interesting and versatile, and if you’re hoping to wear something modern and eye-catching, here’s what you should pay attention to.

Wrap top bikinis

The trend that shyly emerged last year has now come back in full swing – sexy bikinis with tops which wrap around your chest. This design offers great support for the breasts, making them look perkier than ever. What is more, it stays firmly in place so you can swim, jump, and dive with ease – it isn’t going anywhere. Since they are so versatile, you can pair them up with sexy ripped denim shorts, light beach kaftans or casual floral shorts, and look equally stunning. Depending on how much support you need, you can choose halters or spaghetti straps.

The mini tee

Fashion is evolving and becoming bolder with every new season, so this new trend shouldn’t come as a surprise. Bikinis with tee-like tops are taking over beaches and pool parties by storm, and it looks like 2017 is going to be all about the mini tee. The bottoms can be classic or retro deep-waist ones, and the sleeves on the top can be ruffled, off-the-shoulder, full-shoulder caps, or you can even go for a full crop top. As long as you don’t mind getting dressed up for the beach a bit more than usual, you can rock this look with ease. Since the top looks like a tee already, you should pick the bottom carefully – deep waist shorts with big sunglasses will make you look like a pin-up model, while wide, flowy skirt will give you that casual boho look.

The biggest question we have to ask ourselves: “Are the tan lines worth it?” It seems like this year we won’t even have to ask that, as one-piece swimsuits are rocking more straps, strings, and sheer fabric than ever before. For those who would like to hide their stomach and emphasize the waist and legs, monokinis with mesh fabric are perfect. Girls are also falling in love with one-piece, one strap monokinis. Since they can look both modest and sexy, they are even suitable for after-beach dinner if you wrap a sarong around your waist.

The One-Piece Side Design

One-piece swimsuits are getting a fresh redesign with cut-outs becoming more and more prominent with every passing season. New focus is added to the side seams by using D-rings and laces which connect the front and back end of the swimsuit. There is a solution for those who would like to hide their midsection too: novel wrap designs are incorporated to hide the stomach. When you don’t feel like wearing a bikini because it’s too revealing, side designed one-piece is the perfect choice. Pair it with a seductive sheer beach kaftan or a sarong and you’ll look like a movie star.

Remember that you don’t have to follow current trends closely in order to look stylish and elegant. If you’re not sure how comfortable you’d feel wearing such swimsuits, no matter great they look in magazines, simply don’t wear them. You will never be able to relax and enjoy the pleasant time at the beach unless you feel confident and comfortable. Pick the right swimsuit for you, top it up with great accessories, and you’ll be ready to shine.

Styled By………

Hi Everyone,

First off let me start by saying my name is Jonathan and I have a blog called The Hosiery Spot which I featuring reviews on tights, interviews, etc. as I hope to one day sell tights as I really have a passion for them.

My current style is very unique as I don’t like being bound by what other people believe I should wear just because I am a guy, I like to wear what I want and what makes me happy.  Now, I wear tights all the time and don’t like to have my bare legs exposed.  With the tights I will wear shorts, sneakers, sometimes even a skirt and heels.  I like to blend masculine and feminine items into my outfits which seems to fit me well.  The way I got into this style was through my fascination with tights as I always loved how nice they made the legs look, all the colors, patterns, shiny, sheer, etc.  I just had never tried them for myself and decided to go and buy some nice ones one Saturday, and I was amazed at how nice they were and continued to explore and go for more european brands and found a site online with an amazing selection of european tights and it really took off. It was during this early phase that I was hesitant to wear as I was afraid what others would think if they knew I was wearing tights, thing is I only wore underneath my jeans.  I certainly did not wear as often as I do now.  I typically would only buy plain tights, skintone shades or colors. I continued this for a while and was satisfied, until I found some by Emilio Cavallini which are made for men and women which have barbed wire, and the other ones with skulls on them.  I knew these would be great for me to try and I did wear them, with shorts.  I was still hesitant but every time, I slowly builded up my confidence and started by more patterns after this point.  Soon enough, wearing tights felt normal for me, like second nature and just made me feel good and like this is who I am.  I thought of ways to explore and experiment with my style of wearing tights and thought heels might be nice, even a skirt might be nice.  I have slowly but surely added things like a few skirts into my wardrobe and a few pairs of heels.  I have been wearing tights for about 5 years and have been openly wearing them for 2.5 years now which has been so liberating for me and makes me so happy to dress how I want.  Now, when I want to dress nice, I can wear a nice pair of tights, depending on the time of the year will dictate whether they are patterned or not.  Normally in the summer, I will wear ones made for the summer which also happen to have a nice shine which I love!  In the Winter, I will wear more patterns and ones that are thicker, and love bright colors and fun patterns.  With the nice pair of tights, I can now wear a nice pair of heels which I think really goes well with tights and even a nice skirt to complete the look.  My style reflects my personality in that I have always been a person whom does not follow everyone else and likes to do my own thing and what better way than to wear tights, heels, skirt, even shorts and tights, and just kind of come up with my own style for me!

Thanks Jonathan for telling us your story. If I ever need some advice on tights I know where to be! And lots of succes with setting up your own sales point!

Enjoy your week everyone!
