VELVET BOW BOOTS & FANCY FRIDAY LINKUP

A casual look with velvet bow boots

Wearing velvet bow boots with jeans. After all these days with lots of food, wine and stylish outfits, it’s good to wear something casual. Although I, of course, love these days of all dressing up! But it’s time to do some groceries and do some stuff around the house etc. and for me that means easy wear. Sometimes I can appreciate a pair of jeans. Like these boyfriend jeans that I have for a few years now. It’s my only jeans. I don’t like jeans very much, because in this part of my country everybody wears jeans for lack of any style or fashion feeling. But when I style it fashionable, I like it somewhat. It will never be a favorite garment. Besides….I have no butt, so a pair of pants is not that pretty on me anyway.

What else do I wear with my velvet bow boots

The hooded cardigan, in my eyes it’s a cardigan, is a bit of a disappointment. I ordered it with the thought that it was a coat. But it really is not. It’s more of a cardigan. And it has no pockets, so that makes it that I don’t want to wear it outside either. I think it will make a perfect cardigan for a night on the couch, watching  television, legging, sweater,  that idea. The necklace is so cute! Makes me think of Hitchcock’s birds! So it was completely appropriate to wear the beautiful bird earrings too. You know I like things symmetrical.  Isn’t the bag just so much fun? Maybe, just maybe, there will be a new oxygen concentrator on the market that will fit in this bag! Keep your fingers crossed for me. Perhaps I can finally wear fashionable bags again then!velvet bow bootsvelvet bow bootsvelvet bow bootsvelvet bow bootsvelvet bow bootsvelvet bow bootsvelvet bow bootsvelvet bow bootsvelvet bow boots

LONG CARDIGAN & JOGGERS & FANCY FRIDAY LINKUP

I love to wear joggers. Is that very a-stylish?

I bought these joggers last year and showed you it ton sur ton and with a blazer. But I havn’t worn these that much. Several years ago I bought this pinstripe joggers and wore it quite often. I think joggers are easy to style stylish. However I can see these grey/off-white ones also be styled with a simple white tee and white sneakers. And then wear it in a baggy way. I also already ordered another pair, these black joggers. Aren’t they great?

Get style ideas from other bloggers!

If you read many blogs you also get a lot of ideas by other bloggers. I find it great fun to get inspired by others. This outfit I am wearing is inspired by another blogger. I almost only wear long cardigans over dresses. It is fun to style your clothing in a different way you’re used to. So I wear the pants here with a long cardigan and a floral top and light brown pumps. A green necklace that I like better worn as a bracelet and green earrings. And a little green bag. I love it when everything matches. I know a lot of women think that is so ,,thought of” but I love it! Because today’s items are all older, I put simular links under the pictures.

WHY BLUE DRESSES NEVER GET BORED & FANCY FRIDAY LINKUP

How many blue dresses can a woman have!

Oh well, do I really have to answer that! And of course my collection black dresses is even bigger! Look, black dresses never really get bored……and you cannot have enough black dresses. Lol. But I tend to wear blue dresses just as often. And it’s not really my favorite color. I have very few tops and skirts in blue. But why dresses? Because when I was able to choose a dress from Shein, I fell for this one, with blue in it! Why is it that blue dresses never get bored? Well, and now you probably expected an answer and I do not have one for you! Maybe it’s just very personal. But, for example, with red and green I get bored very quickly. I am curious, have you got the same with blue? Let me know!

So yet another blue dress

I choose the one I showed you here. I had already ordered a dress of the same design, this one, and liked it very much. I love the colors in this dress, brown and blue make a great combination for Fall clothing I think. This is actually a summer dress but I find it fantastic to wear with a long cardigan or jacket and boots. To accentuate the blue, I chose my blue jacket and blue boots. Simple blue earrings and a few wooden bracelets are all the accesories this dress needs.blue dressesblue dressesblue dressesblue dressesblue dressesblue dressesblue dressesblue dresses

FASHION OVER 50: ZIGZAG PRINT ON PLEATED SKIRT & FANCY FRIDAY LINKUP

And how should fashion over 50 look?

And do I look that different then I was when I was 20? Yes of course! Fashion over 50 is different then over 20. Just like everything else in your life, the way you dress yourself changes over the years. I once thought(in my twenties) that cycling for fun was awfull, I thought I would be in nightclubs dancing all night for the rest of my life, I never noticed the birds singing in spring when I was in my twenties! So yes, also the way I dress has changed. I don’t wear short skirts anymore, I don’t like to wear sleeveless anymore and I don’t like my dresses to tight anymore. But that doesn’t mean I now, at the age of 50, have to dress frumpy.  I still wear what I like! And today I like to wear a somewhat stuffy outfit!

Is a pleated skirt fashion over 50?

Well not necessarily, but today I wanted  to wear something a bit frumpy. Click here for more inspiration on pleated skirts. Not that I think it’s frumpy, I think this is a fanstastic outfit! I love it! I told you before here that I would show you how the sweater would look like with this skirt. But I liked the outfit so much that I decided to dedicate a hole post to it. So now I am hoping that you don’t sigh: Oh there she is again with that pleated skirt. I also showed you my blue pleated skirt. Haha. I also had already bought a pink one so I think you see me wearing the entire summer pleated skirts. I wore big earrings with it and a small pink belt. I wanted to wear my pink mules but the pink of the mule didn’t match the pink in the sweater.
