If you follow me for some time, and why shouldn’t you, you know that I am a shoe addict! Of summer and winter shoes! Doesn’t matter how many I have, there is always a colour or style or heel that I yet don’t own! I was a addict from the early age of 4. I blame it on my upbringing, haha. And on my grandmother, who had a fabulous taste for elegant shoes. I always wore hers when I visited them, my grandparents, as a child. I digress…
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?
It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Summer shoes!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
I just got these plush lined Birkenstocks for my birthday last month. I was shopping for Birkenstocks for my husband’s birthday gift, which I did get, but then I spotted these light gray felted and lined ones for 50% off because most people don’t have cold toes like I do in the summertime. Win for me! They are so stinking comfortable that I have been wearing them every single day. Definitely a Good Buy. So good, in fact, that I may want to go back and get the dark gray pair.
I adore these green sandals, the tie round the leg is so fancy.
Any Tom and Jerry fans? I found these super cute sandals at Ross for around $10!! Had to get them. I’d actually been wanting some sandals like these so I was so excited to see them when I went shopping. They are really comfortable, and perfect for when I’m home, and don’t want to take off my socks for flip flops or go as far as putting on sneakers for things like taking out the trash, and refilling the squirrel feeder. This area of my mulch driveway is where I put squirrel food on the bottom, and have my hanging bird feeder.
Living in the desert in the summer means finding comfy sandals that aren’t too hot, but you can walk all over in. That’s why I included this photo wearing my Walking Cradles sandals that are almost a Birk copy, but I think they are way cuter!!
These rose gold Jack Rogers were a very good buy! I got them on clearance for only $15 and they add a fun element of glam to my casual summer outfits.
I am submitting these Skechers as a Good Buy. I love the color and the style. Also, they are preloved, so even better!
Here are a few of my favorites…..but, as you can see, I have enough shoes to fill a shoe store!!”
And here are my summer shoes
I actaully am not going to say Good-Bye to these summer shoes, but I never wear them. I do love them and them, they are rose gold, the heel is lovely but……With my older feet these kind of sandals look so fragile with my flat feet. It’s just not flattering. But they are much to darling to sell or to give away, so they stay in my closet…s.
July’s theme will be: Jewelry with a memory/story!
And now hop over to Shelbee’s blog to see what the other fashion bloggers are wearing!
