A bit of a different post today than usual. First of all, this one is on a Monday and I always post on a Friday. But I also wear an outfit that I would normally never wear, shorts and boots! But Jodie from Jodie’s Touch of Style asked me to do a post about embroidered boots together. And I knew immediately how I would wear my lovely black embroidered boots again! Jodie’s style of course!
First a word about Jodie. Jodie was one of the first bloggers I got to know. I was immediately captivated by her pleasant and very informative way of writing. How many tips I’ve already taken from Jodie. But above all, you get the feeling of belonging to her family when you read and follow her blog. In addition, Jodie is always ready to help you. It is a very beloved blogger for me!
How Jodie wears shorts and boots
So when she asked if we could write a post about embroidered boots together, I immediately knew how I would like to wear them this time. As a tribute to Jodie, of course. Because she sometimes wears shorts with boots and I think they look great on her. Well I have to say that it doesn’t look quite as nice on me as it does on her, but just poke through that. But this post is not on just a boot, it’s about embroidered boots! Let me tell you that I never had embroidered anything, but I am loving my boots a lot! And also have already wore them a lot!
How does it look on me…..
In my twenties I often wore shorts with ankle boots. In the winter then, with tights. I always thought it was a nice look. A very chilly nice look. And I still think it’s a lovely style It just doesn’t suit me, but I thought it would be fun to try it out. And that is what Jodie does! She often gets you out of your comfort zone!
I am wearing my summer shorts here as this is the only pair I have. Zara has some fabulous tweed, bouclé shorts this season that I think are fabulous. But not for me sadly. But if they do look good on you, check them out. I am wearing a sweater to create some balance because the boots are quite wide. If I would wear a fitted top then the boots would look even wider.

What a fun collaboration! You both are making me want to add embroidered boots to my Christmas wishlist! I never think of wearing boots with shorts but I do think it’s such a cute and fun look.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!! I think the sweater looks great with the shorts and boots and in a way you are print mixing!! I just have to say that you are the best for going out of your comfort zone. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, but you made this incredible Nancy.
Now you need a pair of faux leather shorts, haha!!! Then we can collaborate on that idea~!!!

Nancy, I think you look fabulous in these shorts and boots so I think you should definitely buy the shorts at Zara! You have beautiful legs and these beautiful boots to wear on them! I remember wearing wool shorts and tights when I was teaching. I must have had seven or eight pair of them! I even wore blazers with them! Such a fashionista!

I’ve never worn shorts with boots but I have seen a couple looks that I would like to imitate. I think it is a very fun look and I love your take on it. I think it looks great! Jodie is my favorite out there and she is as genuine in person as online. I do hope to go back to Arizona soon and actually visit with her! Maybe I can convince my husband to do our next anniversary trip there and let me abandon him for the day so I can hang out with her lol!
