SENTENCE A DAY: APRIL

SENTENCE A DAY: APRIL

How April went: a Sentence a Day!

I am so happy to say that I joined up with a group of bloggers to remember how our month was by a sentence a day! It was much more fun to do than I initially thought! Thank you ladies!

This is how April was for me!

04/01 We started the day with a full English breakfast( we live in the Netherlands yes) and in the afternoon my parents in law came for Easter dinner.

04/02 We went out for brunch with friends, after that we didn’t do much anymore, we were stuffed!

04/03 On Tuesday I always start with a work out at the gym, and because yesterday was second Easter day and I didn’t do anything on the blog, I had enough work to do today.

04/04 Went out to do the groceries and because Friday is my cleaning the house day, but this Friday we are going away for a day, I had to clean the house today.

04/05 Also on Thursday my day starts with a work out at the gym, and after lunch I went to a beauticien since years, I enjoyed it very much!

04/06 Today we are going to a concert of Colin Blunstone and because the weather is so very nice, we are going early and have something to eat and drink on a terras.

04/07 Did some things around the house, my fathers wife stopped by with a girlfriend and in the evening we went out for dinner with the group with which I have rehabilitated.

04/08 The first real warm day, so of course I had to sit in the sun, we would keep dinner a bit simple after two days of eating out, hm, yeah right.

04/09 Working out to start with, ironing, working on the blog and finding out I have a meeting tomorrow, shit, forgot about that!

04/10 To the gym, have lunch, freshing up, to my meeting(which was fun) and to the dentist (nothing wrong, I havn’t for 25 years), at night I was dead tired.

04/11 Did the groceries and I received a package that I won filled with make-up, started early with cooking diner because I made Indonesian food.

04/12 To the gym, and in the evening I had a meeting of my volunteer work.

04/13/ My cleaning day, and I wrote the Minutes ( I looked the translation up and it says Minutes! Is that correct?) of yesterday’s meeting, and I also ironed, in the evening I was, of course, exhausted and we watched Sons of Anarchy which always stays in my head for a few days!

04/14 Went to my hairdresser to elininate my old age(lol), washed the windows outside, worked out and then we enjoyed a relaxed evening at home.

04/15 We got up early to watch the Grand Prix of China, we went to Arnhem to do some shopping and enjoyed wine and nachos on a terrace!

04/16 Had to get up very very early to bring my father-in-law to the hospital for a physical examination, worked out when I got home, worked on my blog, and enjoyed the sun for a while!

04/17 Started with a work out at the gym, there we heard that one of us had died the other day……

04/18/ I have a meeting and in the evening we are eating out with friends, it’s a five minute walk from our house which means…..wine!

04/19 Gerben has two days off and today we have a meeting with the oxygen supplier, such a pitty because it was way to warm to stay inside, later we bbq ed.

04/20 We went to the open air museum, it’s a unique museum, I have to give you a link, it was a fantastic day, in the evening we ate outside in our garden. Open air museum

04/21 We have a quiet weekend ahead of us, Gerben is gardening, I am reading and doing some homework, in the evening we eat outside again!

04/22 Again a very relaxing day, Gerben is gardening again, I am reading again, I needed this as I was very tired and stressed the past few weeks.

04/23 I start the day with a work out at home, after that I have to make a lot of calls and mail a lot and work on the blog, and……see what I have been doing…..

04/24 Work out at the gym, blog work and in the evening Gerben’s nephew came over.

04/25 Groceries and read a book, I was tired and had to rest, this is what I see when I am in my bed, spring is the best time of the year!

04/26 work out at the gym, lunch and then a meeting with my volunteer group to introduce us to a new member, volunteers are so hard to find.

04/27 Friday is my cleaning day, it is much better if I split that in two days but I don’t want to, so Friday is always a hard tiring day!

04/28 We still had a restaurant voucher from our party last year and we went out for dinner, we took a ,,tasting,, (proeverij in Dutch), that means that you get everything that is on the menu!

04/29 After eating way to much yesterday we decided to go to the National park and enjoy all the green, we saw a owl and hares.

04/30 Work out and spend the hole afternoon writing my privacy declaration.

This was more fun then I thought!  The photos are not all the most interesting, because I have to remind myself of taking them! I will do my best to provide better ones next month! Join us and then join the linkup too!

You’ve had a busy month – with LOTS of eating out! We very rarely go out for meals, so you are certainly encouraging me to get out more and find some delicious food. I also loved that you were brave enough to photograph yourself at the hairdressers (I’d never risk it!) And yes “Minutes” is the right word. See you next month!

Oh really, what are you going to visit? What places?

  6. May 3, 2018 / 10:07 am

Great that you joined this linkup Nancy! Fun to learn more about your life. I had a smile at your English breakfast. What would a Dutch breakfast be? When I was a kid we had a Dutch teacher, and she occasionally brought in Dutch meals for us. One of them was a sandwich sprinkled with hundreds and thousands.

Hundreds and thousands? I don’t even know what that means. Well, first a Dutch breakfast offs not warm. It’s mostly a cracker or bread with coffee or tea. Very boring. I live English breakfasts! But not the black pudding!

This is such a fun idea! I love it, it’s like a simplified journal of your day, which makes you appreciate the things you’ve been throughout the past month.

Isn’t it fun to go back and see all we have accomplished, experienced over 30 days? I love this series. Hope you will continue to join us.
