This graphic psychedelic print dress from Zara is actually not my style at all. But I could already picture it in my head with a nice thick knitted cardigan and long brown leather boots and I went for it. But it is actually a summer dress despite the long sleeves. It’s a very thin dress. You saw a lot of these kinds of prints last season. A bit 70’s style. I love it, that was quite an elegant style. Better than anything ripped, to short, to long you see these days. Haha, I really do sound like an old woman. I just prefer the more classic, more elegant style.
What is a psychedelic print exactly?
Well, Wikipedia can tell you better than I can. Very interesting to read I might say. I learnt a few things reading it and that is always good isn’t it! We need to stimulate our brains! With reading and those kind a things, not with things where you see everything in a psychedelic daylight! Actually, this dress does not have a real psychedelic print. I mean, you don’t get dizzy by looking at it. But I like to call it psychedelic one.
Styling my not so psychedelic print dress.
I also didn’t have a long cardigan to wear with it, yes yes I feel a shopping moment coming. But I hadn’t worn this pre-loved jacket yet and I think the color goes very well with the dress. Finally wearing my Italian leather boots again, love it! I really didn’t think this dress would wear great at all. I thought it would be very uncomfortable as it is very snug. And that it would be very noticable. But it wears very nice!
Would you call this print a psychedelic one and do you ever wear such a print yourself?

I love the print of that dress – has that retro vibe that I love – reminds me of the prints of the 60’s, certainly psychedelic. Looks great on you Nancy!

First thing that popped into my head when I saw this is that you are hot like Elizabeth Hurley in Austin Powers! You look great and although I would shy away from this type of print, I kind of also wish I was brave enough to give it a go. It looks great!

What an awesome dress! And together with the boots and jacket, it’s a great example of taking a Summer dress into Fall.
Nancy,
I love all these colors here and the the olive jacket looks wonderful paired with those colors. I know you have a couple of military style jackets and I have been drawn to those as well. I have 2 I think. Looks beautiful on you!

Dizziness aside, I’m absolutely loving that psychedelic print – or not – dress, especially combined with that military style jacket! I do love a more elegant style too, by the way, and I especially abhor anything ripped. Ugh! xxx P.S. Sadly, we can ‘t get RTL4 🙁
That’s such a groovy print, Nancy, and I love the military-inspired jacket you styled with it!

This is an interesting print Nancy! Thank you for hosting the party this week again!
I love how you styled it with the jacket and boots. Maybe with tights when it gets cooler? It is a fun print and yes, I would wear it! I am still on the lookout for a fall dress or two but most of what I see here in the US is shapeless. Not for me!
