Pink as Cotton Candy
I never thought that I would wear a total pink outfit! Pink as Cotton Candy. ( by the way I love cotton candy, I always buy that in the UK) I can not even remember that I wore it as a child. Nothing pink at all. I can remember an outfit, I was about 27,I had a pink checkered miniskirt with a pink sweater on it. I felt a bit of a cotton candy, miss piggy, not myself in any case. While the outfit was very nice actually. But as you have seen in recent weeks, I am very into red and pink this season. I bought this sweater in the Zara sale, at the same time with this, in my eyes, great outfit, and I realized that a pink skirt was what I needed. A wide pink skirt, because as excuse (because I just did not need anything, I had just ordered three skirts at Zara) I had the idea that I needed a skirt for on the bike. Because a pair of pants with this weather I do not like and a pencil skirt on the bike is not working and a dress is often so awkward while cycling. Oh yes Nancy, why? So a skirt was needed, two actually, because as we say in the Netherlands: you can not stand on one leg. And is this skirt useful for cycling Nancy? No of course not, but I will cycle with it, someday.
Total pink outfit
I wanted to keep this outfit completely pink and so I wear my bright pink jacket with an orange lining, my very light pink shoes and the bracelets from Brighton and of course pink statement earrings. And I feel absolutely not like a cotton candy and no miss piggy at all! I think I will wear this skirt even in fall with a grey sweater, I think pink and grey is a perfect match just as pink and olive. You know perhaps that I like contrasts in a outfit, no contrasts here. But the girlish of pink with the somewhat cooler of grey and olive is a perfect combination. So you see, I can wear this skirt for a long time……I told you I needed it!
