Wearing a orange dress over a dress?

How would I wear a orange dress?

So I had bought this plaid dress and had in my mind that I wanted to wear orange with it. And I wanted to wear a long shirt over it. The orange long shirt became a orange short dress, but when I wore it over each other it did not make any sense. I had in my mind that it would be very nice together, but as I had already said, the plaid dress was disappointing. So to wear another dress over it became even more dissappointing.

But I just wanted to wear that orange dress on something as it is not pretty enough to wear it without a thing. It’s just a long tee actually and there’s nothing exciting about it. And then I thought of my orange pink shirtdress from a few years ago. Linen, which I hate because of the creases. But I liked the colors so much that I bought this dress, and almost never worn it. But this one was perfect for my orange dress.

Experiment with your clothes

Sometimes you just want to experiment a bit with your clothes. With me, this usually results in an outfit that I wear once to do my shopping, but often no more than that. I just love a simple outfit, not too many accessories and not too much hassle. Not too many colors in an outfit and few prints. I love that. Simple, yet stylish. But with this dress over dress outfit a denim jacket was needed. And wooden accessories. And my suede ankle boots with fringes. And Gerben’s belt! Haha. Now I don’t think that you will ever see this orange ,,dress,, again as orange isn’t actually my color at all, but….nothing is as changeable as women….read Nancy!(nothing to do with menopause, please)orange dressorange dressorange dressorange dressorange dressorange dressorange dressorange dress

I always find that if I’m really struggling with an outfit it usually shows in the final product, like I’ve tried too hard. Like you, I’m less likely to want to re-wear it again.

Often times I like to wear really bold clothes so I don’t need to worry about accessories as much. The clothes do all the work.

As much as you love red with pink, I’m surprised you don’t like orange with pink! They are also wonderful clashing with one another!

I hope I managed to vote for you correctly – I couldn’t get the page to translate so just commented that I vote for you and your blog. What exactly is the competition?

Oh… mag ik eerlijk zijn dat dit niet geheel mijn smaak is. Echter de kleur oranje staat jou wel heel mooi. En een pluim voor hoe je een echte Queen bent in combineren!

I know what you mean. Sometimes an outfit is so much work, it’s not fun anymore. It seems as these are nice basics, I’d like to see you do another go-around with the orange dress.
