I’ve said it before, but I’ve never bought so many maxi skirts as this season. On the one hand, I like to wear them now because it does make my legs look better. (hidden!) On the other hand, because with a lovely warm summer, maxi skirts wears just so easy and it protects you a bit against the mosquitoes. But we’ve had such a shit summer that I still have two maxi skirts hanging in the closet that I haven’t worn at all. Well, to give them a place on my blog I had to act quickly, the summer is almost over.
The feautured photo is from years ago. It is a maxi skirt! I wore it as a dress! Wished I still had that one but at that time I didn’t like to wear maxi. Guess my legs looked better back then….
Maxi skirts that I haven’t even worn yet
These are both very thin skirts that would be suitable for a long lazy summer evening. So I wouldn’t wear these with boots in the fall or something, which I would do with a lot of skirts. The floral one is a pre loved skirt, I fell for the colors while those are not my colors at all. So I sold this one again. Wore it once, I think when we hosted a bbq for my in-laws. The red tee I bought a few years ago as I fell for the color. Which is weird as I don’t like red….. I am weird.
I also bought the soft pink maxi skirt purely because of the length, this color is not quite my favorite either. But I had long hot summer evenings in mind. So actually these are both Bad Buys. The pink maxi skirt I only wore to show you. Couldn’t be bothered by taken normall photos of it. But I think I will hang on to it for next year!
Maxi skirts I did wear
Not that I wore them that often, but I love these ones a lot. You have seen them before if you are a regular reader. And why wouldn’t you be! Lol. You can subscribe to my blog in the sidebar and via the red bell on the right. I hope you do. By the way, we have a vacation as of next week and I will be publishing some guest posts for you. You can also follow what I am doing in my Instagram stories! Also hope that you like to follow me there.
This tie dye skirt I just adore. Never thought I would love it so much as I am not a huge fan of the print. But the skirt is so fabulous and of good quality that it just wears fantastic.
The grey skirt is such a easy one. White sneakers, a simple tee and I am ready and feeling fabulous! You know I love a simple style right. Some of you might think, hey girl it’s just a skirt and a tee, but I feel heavenly in it. And that is what it is all about for me! How a look, outfit, style makes me feel. Wether it looks good on me or not, it’s about the feel! This is more a 7/8 skirt, not exactly maxi, but to me it’s a maxi skirt.
This blue satin skirt is such a gorgeous deep navy. It wears awfull because it clings to my legs, but I think this is a beautiful skirt.
And another red item that I sold again……red…..
Do you find yourself wearing more maxi skirts as you get older?
My favorite of last week is: Linda of A Labour of Life

Noooo, really my legs are getting so ugly! Lol.
Gorgeous collection Nancy. You’d never know the skirt in the top pic was actually a dress. I haven’t bought any maxi skirts this summer. I realised that shorter lengths are better on me, but they’re not really in fashion so not many around.

Mmm, I didn’t like that skirt at all! Hahah, funny right.
I love all the maxi skirts on you and some of them are really super fab – love the tie-dye one and actually the first one worn as a dress is so nice. Also love the red/orange ones you don’t like!!!
Have a lovely weekend with hopefully some good weather!

Thanks Andrea!
Dear Nancy, you look geourgeous in your beautiful maxi skirts! My favorite is the first one which you wore as a dress. Amazing! I like maxi skirts very much, but not on me. I don’t know why, but they just don’t suit me. Even the owner of my favorite boutique says that I should rather wear shorter skirts and dresses 😉 Both long and short skirts definitely look good on you, but I can also understand the argument with the mosquitos very well.
Have a lovely weekend!

Yes I can see that shorter skirts look so much better on you then maxi skirts Nadine!
It’s a shame you haven’t worn all your maxi skirts but you do have some great staple ones there! Maxi skirts are my favourite – I used to wear a lot of mini skirts before babies but after babies it’s been maxi skirts all the way, haha! It’s a much more practical option running around after the kids in the playground. Gives good sun coverage too which is so important!
Thank you for the link up!
Hope your week is going well 🙂

Ooh Nancy, you really do know how to style a maxi skirt! What a gorgeous collection you have, too. I picked up a really cool maxi skirt thrifting recently that I haven’t worn yet and I really need to get that photographed before summer is over as well. Thanks for the party, my friend!

You’ve got quite a collection of maxi skirts, Nancy! I actually just bought a pink floral one which is super cute! I love your floral one, and the blue one is gorgeous, such a shame that he doesn’t wear so well with the clinginess! I also love the grey one too. Gorgeous!

Oh, I do love a good maxi skirt. And, like you, I’ve a couple I haven’t worn yet. This summer has just flown by and I’ve had little desire to pull them out let alone decide what to wear with them! Eeek! You look lovely in all of them.
Love your maxi skirt collection! The soft pink one is really pretty and I love how you styled it! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Nancy you look great in red! You don’t like red clothes?
I wear much more dresses since a few years. I wish you a nice weekend and happy holiday.
I totally agree with Tina that you look great in red, and I’m absolutely loving that pre-loved skirt! Such a shame you decided to let it go.
Other favourites are the blue satin one and the tie dye one.
I’ve had maxi skirts (and dresses) in my wardrobe for many year, most of them pre-loved or vintage. They are indeed perfect to hide ones legs 🙂 Wishing you a great vacation, Nancy! We’ll be going to week after! xxx
I always think it’s good that we try all kinds of styles Nancy. I only started wearing maxis probably about 5 years ago. I don’t have a ton of them, but they are wonderful!!
It cracks me up that you say you don’t like red, yet you always look so amazing in it.

You look great in red, Nancy – it must be a mental block, because it’s a wonderful colour on you. ;-P
I wear maxi skirts in the winter too, but some are just summer-only. I wish I had more time to wear all of my summer ones again!

I recently just bought and started wearing 2 maxi skirts. It had been years since I had worn any and I had forgotten how much I liked them with a t-shirt and some flip flops they make such comfy summer outfits!
