LEOPARD PRINT & GINGHAM

LEOPARD PRINT & GINGHAM

Leopard print & gingham!

Did you ever wore a leopard print with gingham together? Now I’ve often mixed prints in the last period, but that was always on the safe side. You know the predictable print mixing, rather boring if you like. Stripes and floral, dots and stripes. Acceptable, careful. But I never mixed a leopard print with gingham. I did not mix leopard print at all, or gingham! I did not dare to do that. But for an appointment on a Saturday morning I wanted to wear both my leopard blouse and my gingham skirt. Well then hey, I had to wear them both! Often the combinations that didn’t take long to think about, are the best. Because they are spontaneous. I have felt wonderful in it and I think it is a great look!

Mixing a Leopard print with gingham

You all know that the leopard print is completely hot again the coming season. As if it was ever gone! I am happy with it because that means that there are plenty of accessories for sale with that print. I think I want a bathrobe in a leopard print. Or slippers. Or maybe both. Over the top. In a outfit like this I do not like too many accessories. So only my watch and I always have four earrings on each ear. Little ones. Not to many gold, I think that looks a bit, mm, not my style. A black bracelet and a black ring.

I bought the sandals in sale, real cheap. They were 70% discounted and I paid € 12 for it. But I must say very honestly that the leather is far too stiff and that they are not comfortable. But okay, they are beautiful. You have seen the skirt before and is one of my favorite skirts from last season. I wore the blouse here before. And now I am very curious if you wear leopard print and how you wear it. Do you mix it or do you wear solid colors on it?leopard print & ginghamleopard print & ginghamleopard print & ginghamleopard print & ginghamleopard print & ginghamleopard print & gingham

Fun print mix! I really like your gingham skirt 🙂

It’s a shame that the sandals are not comfortable even though they were a great price, as they look cute!

Hope that you are having a good start to your week – and October! – so far 🙂

I am not sure if I could, mixing prints! In my days when I was learning for a job as Graphic Designer we learned not to mix patterns! And not to style different fonts togheter! Perhaps I should try it! Never too old to become a Rebel!

Just try it, I used to wear only solid items and look at me now!

This is super cute, Nancy! I love that you did something outside the “expected” print-mixing! I used to have a gingham skirt like that years ago (same inset bias-cut piece) and I have a leopard shirt too – I even have similar sandals. Just proof of our good taste, right?

I have a lot of leopard in my wardrobe, so I’m always happy to see it be “in” again (I love the idea of a bathrobe!). I’ve always been pairing it with solids, but you have me thinking differently! Thank you!

Love this look! I think Leopard print is really a neutral in the print-mixing world and you can do a lot of experiments to making it look easy and cool. Just keep trying! The important thing is to feel comfortable with the mix!
You are looking lovely with your mix variation!
I also have mixprints on my blog tomorrow, with link up! I am looking forward to seeing you there!

This print mix was a good choice, Nancy. Oftentimes I don’t care for leopard mixed, because I like it so much on it’s own, but this works. The cut of this skirt is so fun.

I positively adore leopard and gingham together! I really like how you added a solid cardigan to tie these two patterns together seamlessly. Great sandals and at such a great price, too!

I honestly have worn this together! I really think these prints are neutrals and can really go with anything. I love how you mixed them together!
