Fancy Friday linkup

I f you do not want to read the whole story or you just can’t handle me wearing two prints, scroll right down and linkup! For the heroes…. hold on tight!

Leopard print & checkered!

Most of you know by now that I am not into prints very often. You should see my kitchen and living room, stark white, no frills, empty, almost sterile. And so it is with my style, no fuss. Well then you will, I think, be surprised that I am wearing two prints today! I actually surprised myself too! But when I saw this cardigan, it looks a bit like a jacket, I knew immediately that it would look great on this blouse. I wear the sleeves up because, yeah, that’s the trend eh! Haha, but I like it.  But why does this combination works for me? I have no idea. I searched on the net about mixing prints to give you some tips, but I have apparently failed to comply with the hints. Does that mean I look like I dressed myself in the dark? Haha, no I don’t think so. I think that if it feels good, it is! And when in doubt….DON’T. Never! Btw, I saw here a beautiful coat and they also have a gorgeous pencilskirt in the same print! H&M has got great new items this week.

I bought the skirt a size bigger because I wanted to be longer.

I like your pattern mixing, Nancy! I think the black ties it all together, and the brown belt and boots tie the brown in the blouse into the outfit nicely. You should do pattern mixing more often! 🙂

Thanks for the link up & Happy Friday!

Nancy, I just think you are so cute! I love your poses, your sass and your creativity. I would have never thought of mixing a Buffalo plaid with a leopard print. Pairing them with the black skirt and the cognac colored belt and boots works perfectly. I think part of why it works is because you kept the colors similar – black, brown, white. You are also pairing a large print with a smaller one. Great look! Thanks for hosting the link up. – Amy

It’s such alot of fun playing with prints and leopard is such a versatile one to play with. And I love how the belt and the boots play together with the leopard print and then the black of the checks with the skirt. Great combination.

    • October 17, 2016 / 8:56 am

Thank you! I never would have thought that leopardprint was that versatile!

    • October 17, 2016 / 2:54 pm

I really like the mix of patterns. The black ties it all together. Sometimes it’s the unlikely combinations that work the best!
