This month we choose knit dresses as our theme. February is te perfect month to wear those warm, cozy and comfortable dresses. Good to wear on a night out with boots, or with slippers on the couch and a cup of hot chocolate….and some cookies! Let’s take a look at the women who joined us this month!
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?
It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Knit Dress!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
I found this black knit Zara dress at my local thrift shop two years ago and it has proven to be my favorite LBD that I have ever owned. It is super versatile and comfortable and I really do feel kind of fabulous when I wear it. Definitely a Good Buy!
Sheila of Ephemera
I like my sweater dresses a little bit looseand with some fun style, like the front slit that shows off my boots. A dress that makes me feel happy is always a Good Buy!
Heather of Bauchle Fashion

This dress has been THE BEST buy ever. Not only because I believe in the power of a great white dress, but because it works so wonderfully to layer other skirts over it.
Think that’s a crazy idea? I know, most women do. But I’ve showcased it before in this article.
I know I’ve had the dress for over 12 years now, and it’s still going strong!!

I love this challenge. I bought this dress during lockdown and was hoping to wear it for our anniversary dinner. It’s soft, warm and very comfortable.
Joanne of My Slices of Life
And here is my knit dress
This is also not a very thick one, justv like the one I showed on Shelbee’s blog. But it’s the colour that appealed to me and the golden zipper. I am a magpie…I love to wear navy and the best colour to combine, for me, is with brown, cognac to be exact. The scarf was a Christmas gift from Gerben and the leather blazer is a gorgeous antique blue and super soft.
March’ theme will be: Combat trousers/cargo pants!
And now hop over to Shelbee’s blog to see what the other fashion bloggers are wearing!
Send your photo with a few sentences if it is a Good Buy or a Good-Bye and we will put you in the spotlights! Send it please before the 10th of each month to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to batennancy@gmail.com
By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for next month!
I loved seeing all these dresses and I love how you said you’re a magpie too.
BTW, I didn’t see the theme for next time??
XOXO

Thanks Jodie! Then you where to early! Haha, I had to wait for Shelbee, it’s combat trousers/cargo pants!
SO many beautiful knit dresses! I just bought myself a new one– in red.. .which is not a color I wear very often but I was on the lookout for something a bit more unique when it came to a knit dress.

I only have one knit/sweater dress and it is very cozy, yet I hardly ever wear it! This post is making me change my mind though! Thank you for sharing and you all look lovely! Have a wonderful day! XO

Thank you so much for including me, Nancy! I love seeing all the great knit dresses here. I won’t be doing the cargo/combat GB – not my thing!
I hope you are doing okay, honey. Sending you good vibes…*hug*

Oh that is a pitty Sheila. And thanks for the vibes, I need them!
I am a lover of a warm stretchy dress!! I love that pom pom one, but I do agree it may be a bit much… I’d have to see it on, though.

Thanks Michelle!
Oh no, Nancy! What will our holiday preparations I completely forgot!
Anyway, some gorgeous dresses here. I’m a big fan of Sheila’s orange one, and your navy dress is perfect too. None of my knit dresses are very thick, as otherwise I would never wear them. Better to have a thin one and do some layering! xxx

Thank you very much for joining us Anna!
Gosh, I would wear all of these great dresses…even the off-white one that Heather said good-bye to. I have a new gray sweater dress that I am on the fence about. It is from Banana Republic. Cowl neck, very soft. But the first time I wore it, the thing shed like mad all over my camel trench coat. My coat looks gray now with all the little bits of fuzz and fiber all over it. I am going to have to have the coat dry cleaned to see if they can get rid of all the ‘fur’ it has left behind on my coat.
